“The cottage was very comfortable, it was exactly like the pictures, Felton a lovely village with all you would want in it.”
Unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short due to a family illness, nevertheless we had a wonderful time.
“Really lovely cottage- felt more like a home than a holiday let”
“Beautiful quirky cottage in a lovely village.”
Spotlessly clean and the owner had thought of everything. Dog friendly with a small enclosed yard, but very close to woodland paths and walks. Cafe and restaurant/pub literally a stones throw away and serving delicious food. There is also a small shop across the road. Nearest supermarkets and bigger towns are Morpeth or Alnwick which are 10/15 min drive away. Location is great for sightseeing. Would recommend Amber and Rothbury and a must see is cragside(National Trust property). Very dog friendly area.
Very well decorated throughout with a cosy living room and a well planned kitchen filled with everything you might need for cooking. The only downside was the low doorways - husband did sustain minor injuries before he remembered to duck each time!
“This place is REALLY special, better than home from home!”
! Everything is quality throughout, from the big things to the small. Location was perfect for us, quiet but not too far from some fantastic places, Cragside and Bamburgh to name just two. We were so sad to leave, couldn’t fault anything, would recommend this to anyone without hesitation.
“The cottage is beautiful and feels like home.”
The village is great- the running fox and Northumberland Arms both well worth a visit and there are some lovely walks from the village. We loved the location - 20 min drive to beach in one direction and 20 min in other direction to national park. We will stay here again!!
“Super location, dog friendly -no hesitation on recommending for a visit to Northumbria.”
“Lovely location and lots of great detail left by the owner to make the stay more comfortable.”
We left feedback with the owner on some minor amendments that she could make which would make it a 10/10 location!
“Rolls Royce think of everything and this property is no exception, we had a fabulous stay and an ideal location for touring Northumberland.”
“Lovely area to visit very dog friendly”
“Lovely cottage, very well situated to explore the area.”
“The cottage was very comfortable, very well equipped and was exactly as seen in the photos.”
It is in a fantastic position in Felton just opposite The Running Fox which did a superb breakfast and sold lovely cakes. Felton is very well situated for visiting attractions in the area. We would highly recommend this cottage and would definitely stay here again.
“Comfortable and cosy cottage in an interesting and friendly village well situated for the attractions of Northumberland.”
Good places to eat and drink nearby ( Running Fox and Northumberland Arms). Good hourly bus service from Felton to Newcastle, Berwick, Morpeth and Alnwick if you want to give driving a miss for a day or two. We thoroughly enjoyed our week.
“We spent a number of weeks in this beautiful property the owner certainly has an eye for detail it is stunning, the lounge with log burner is fabulous, the property was clean (gleaming) and cosy, underfloor heating was fab.”
Lovely goodies and essentials on arrival even treats for the dogs.We even managed to sit in courtyard for coffee as weather was good. The people of Felton where so friendly and helpful they pointed us in the right directions for stunning walks from the front door where we met deers, geese and even a owl. The Foxes Den micro brewery is well worth a visit along with Northumberland Arms Sunday Lunch amazing, only go to Running Fox if really hungry. As you can tell we really enjoyed our stay Coquet Vale.
“This was a cottage that exactly matched the website pictures: it looked light and spacious in the photos, and it was light and spacious, and very obviously newly refurbished to a high standard.”
We found the grey-white decor throughout attractive and restful and enjoyed staying in the cottage very much indeed. To be greeted with bread and cake and bottles of wine was very welcoming! If one were to try and find a fault, it would be that there are quite a lot of odd steps on both floors, but that didn't spoil our enjoyment.
