This beautifully refurbished terraced cottage is set in the peaceful hamlet of Kentstone in Northumberland, just one mile from Beal.

This lovely cottage is ideally located for touring all of Northumberland, including the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is perfect for a family and friends wishing to explore this beautiful area.

In this delightful cottage is a spacious well-equipped kitchen with a dining area, which has everything required to prepare a home-cooked meal to satisfy ravenous children, and a large kitchen table being perfect for hearty meals and playing board games.

The charming sitting room is bright and airy and has a multi-fuel stove and a French door leading into the sunny garden.

Head upstairs and you will find three comfortable bedrooms and a family bathroom with the front bedroom having stunning views towards the Cheviot Hills.

With a south-facing enclosed garden, this cosy cottage is perfect for pets and children to play safely in the sunshine, and for a spot of sunbathing whilst enjoying a refreshing drink.

A short drive from your cottage will take you to the small hamlet of Beal.

The Barn at Beal offers birdwatching, a great bar and restaurant, and a shop selling locally-grown produce.

From Beal the road takes you to the famous causeway leading to Holy Island where a visit to Lindisfarne Castle is a must.

Check the crossing times to ensure you don’t get stranded, and then have a meander through the pretty streets and grab a coffee or an ice cream.

Further north, Berwick-upon-Tweed is close by with its traditional shops, good pubs, wine bars and restaurants.

With the Heritage Coast and Edinburgh an easy drive away, this is a superb base for touring Northumberland and The Borders.

The small attractive village of Lowick is ideally placed for a holiday in Northumberland. Kimmerston Riding Centre is just a few miles to the west of the village. The pretty village of Ford with its castle and craft shops is 2 miles away, part of the Ford and Etal Estate which has facilities for cycling and fishing, as well as a mini railway – ideal for all the family. There are also excellent golfing opportunities, with 8 golf courses within 20 miles of Lowick. Northumberland’s beautiful coastline, Holy Island, the Cheviots for hill walking and mountain biking and the fascinating border town of Berwick, are all only short drives away. A superb base for exploring all the region has to offer.
