  • "Fenwick Retreat is in a beautiful setting."

Yes, it is remote but on a main (but very quiet) road. We brought some small binoculars with us and watched a plethora of birds just outside the window. The cottage is extremely comfortable and we appreciated an email from the owners mid stay, just to check that all was OK. Fenwick Retreat is well placed for visiting a variety of places of interest, but lots of places were shut for the season. We found lots to do and we were lucky to enjoy some November sunshine.

Loved our stay here. Great welcome. Accommodation clean, tidy and well equipped. Friendly, helpful owners. Really well located with plenty to do locally. Weather wasn’t great so we didn’tget to enjoy sitting outside and enjoying the views. Would recommend the Serenity boat trips to the Farne Islands.

  • "Such a lovely cottage, we had all we needed for our week's stay."

Lots to do locally in the area, but we loved coming back to the cottage in the evening to relax, all so comfortable. Amazing log burner, which we had hoped not to use in July, but on a couple of damp nights it really warmed up the room. Kitchen really well equipped. More cyclists than cars seem to use the road, so nice and quiet. Did manage to sit out in the garden a few times, very peaceful with sheep for neighbours. Absolutely loved our week at Fenwick.
