“This was a beautiful apartment with two bedrooms, both en-suite.”

It had everything we needed to cook meals, plenty of utensils, pots and pans. The seating area was comfortable and it was good to sit as the end of a tiring day and relax in front of the tv. ...

It had everything we needed to cook meals, plenty of utensils, pots and pans. The seating area was comfortable and it was good to sit as the end of a tiring day and relax in front of the tv. The decoration was to a high standard and the bathrooms were very clean and fresh. The cleanliness of the apartment was first class throughout. There was also plenty of storage room in bedrooms. There were several nice walks along back lanes from the village of Fenwick, which we enjoyed with the dog before setting off to explore the stunning coastline and countryside. We would definitely book this apartment again.

However everything was as advertised & more. More than met our expectations. Setting very quiet & ideal if you seek a real country life. However Berwick & Alnwick provides plenty of shopping & cafés. The former within a 10 min drive

The accommodation was spotless and well designed. We really appreciated the welcome basket of wine, biscuits, bread milk and butter. The area is fantastic with so much to see, local beaches are beautiful and quiet. The owners left lots of information and recommended local pubs with were of excellent quality. Would love to visit again!

Layout really worked well for a family of 4 with two bathrooms ensuite. Lovely welcome pack and dog made to feel welcome with own towel and bowl. Excellent location. We cycled with kids(and dog) to Holyisland from the property and had a lovely day at Alnwick. We will be back! Many thanks.

“Parking was misleading and unclear, implication was that the property had a parking space but there was only one space between two cottages.”

Information on parking should be improved. There was dirty cutlery and the table wasn't clean. We also found the bed throw dirty and covered in hairs, which left hairs all over the bed linen. But otherwise the cottage is perfectly situated and well presented.

“The advert said there was an enclosed garden, In actual fact the so alled garden was not attached to the house and it was oly a piece of ground covered in chips/ There was a picnic table in the enclosed space but no shade at all and no flowers or bushes etc.”

This could be made clear especially for a family with small children who would imagine their children would be I a safe enclosed garden that was accessed from the door of the house. Otherwise everything was perfect.

“We had a fabulous time at the Nook, a great location to explore Northumberland.”

I would have liked more information on the immediate area in terms of dog walks- we found no walks directly from the property (although in sure there would be some!). It also advertised an enclosed garden- however this was not as expected, it was completely separate from the property and was gravelled with one picnic bench. No good for children or dogs. The accommodation was tidy, comfortable and modern and we had a great holiday but would not book this cottage again unless the garden was improved.

“The cottage is a wonderful place to stay.”

Location is excellent and well within range of lots of places to travel. The cottage is spacious and well presented with lovely rooms well decorated and with lots of space. The owners left a lovely welcome pack of some local jam and bread as well as coffee and biscuits and a lovely bottle of wine which was much appreciated. We would recommend staying here and would love to go back again as we didn’t go to all the places we planned this trip. It was superb value for money and a wonderful week.

A pretty little village, just 3 miles from the coast and ideally situated for those wanting to explore the whole of Northumberland. Within easy reach of the A1, Fenwick has good access to all of the area's attractions - wonderful beaches, historic castles, not to mention Holy Island just 5 miles away. Those who enjoy the great outdoors will be delighted with the cycle route that runs through Fenwick and there are many local spots which are renowned for birdwatching.
