    “The cottage was clean, tidy and well presented.”

    We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage but there were a few minor points that I wanted to feed back : 1. The cottage is located on a busy main road with allot of traffic going passed at night, this was hampered by the fact that the A1 had night closures 2. the hot water was a little temperamental and you had to run the tap a long time to get any hot water out, once sussed this it was fine 3. shame there was no visitors book in the cottage as it is a good way to share experiences and find out ...

    Thanks for your positive feedback, its great to hear you enjoyed your stay in The Snook. It's a shame that the A1 was closed, causing a diversion through Powburn. I'd like to point out to potential future customers that there is a 30mph speed limit in the village, the road is usually free from diverted traffic and is quiet at night. The notes have been updated to include recycling instructions. In the notes there is a section on local amenities, these are facilities that are within walking distance of The Snook. In the back of the folder you will find roughly 20 flyers for attractions in the wider area of North Northumberland. The property

This fabulous, stone-built, mid-terrace cottage sits in a perfect Northumberland location, in the attractive village of Powburn.

Wander up the open tread staircase to discover the welcoming first floor which nestles cosily under the sloping ceiling.

Here you will find the two tastefully finished bedrooms, the master room is enhanced by stunning feature beams.

The interior of the property concludes lovingly with a glistening family bathroom.

The Snook benefits from a usefully central location in Northumberland, there is a pub and a convenience shop within one mile.

The attractions of the county lie at your fingertips, from here you can easily reach the rural wonders of the Northumberland National Park and the Northumberland Coast AONB, whilst popular towns include Alnwick, Rothbury and Alnmouth.

The 68 national cycle route passes just by The Snook, the property contains a large bike store making it perfect for cyclists.

The village has a shop and a wide range of amenities are available in the nearby market town of Alnwick. The village makes an ideal base for exploring the Northumberland National Park, Alnwick with its imposing castle (known to millions as Hogwarts School in Harry Potter!), the impressive castle gardens and The Treehouse Restaurant. The spectacular coastline, the attractive towns of Wooler and Rothbury and the well known National Trust country house and gardens at Cragside are all within easy reach.
