Resting on the edge of Northumberland's stunning coast, in the charming fishing village of Craster, is the beautiful Whinstone House.

Just a mere stone's throw away from Craster harbour and within easy reach to the thriving town of Alnwick, Winstone house is the idyllic dwelling for a family looking to explore the coast and fantastic attractions.

A spacious parking spot awaits you on arrival, making moving your possessions easy and efficient; enter into the handy porch where you can kick off your sandy shoes and house your belongings.

This unique property is reverse-level so venture upstairs to discover the open plan living space, the social hub of the home, and admire the white-washed walls, which creates a bright and airy feel.

The kitchen area boasts granite worktops where you can prepare delicious meals and the sleek cupboards offer all the necessities to equip your self-catering adventure.

Move around the space to find the elegant dining table, where you can settle down to enjoy a hearty-meal together, then plan the days ahead to take advantage of your desirable location.

Unwind in the sitting area on the sofa and flick on the Smart TV, as you escape reality for a couple of hours with your loved ones.

As the evening draws to a close, tuck the little ones up in the bunk beds, which offers a minimalistic feel so you don't need to worry about any mess; then retire to the master bedroom where you can freshen up with a rinse in the en-suite shower before climbing into the king-size bed.

Choose between two more double bedrooms, with ample storage space and flooded in natural light from the great windows; a refreshing way to be woken up in the morning.

The ground-floor is complete with a contemporary, family bathroom where you can take a leisurely soak or opt for an invigorating shower in the morning.

Those staying in the master bedroom can benefit from the sea air drifting through the French doors; step outside and appreciate a steaming cup of coffee, as you soak in the tranquillity of the village.

Dine out at the local pub, The Jolly Fisherman Inn, for scenic views of the coast and home-cooked meals or alternatively, take a short drive to a convenience store to stock up on fresh produce to cook up your own tasty meals.

The area hosts an array of activities to do with your family; treat the younger ones to a visit to Hogwarts to see the famous filming location of Harry Potter or tour the magnificent, 14th century Dunstanburgh Castle for some engrossing history.

Head to the quaint village of Beadnell for a golden sandy beach, where you can join in watersports or just enjoy a stroll along the coast.

Be sure to spend a day in Alnwick for its dramatic castle, museums and splendid, cherry blossom gardens, as well as an array of bars and fabulous shops, which are scattered along the cobbled streets.

About the location

EMBLETON

Craster 3 miles; Beadnell 4 miles; Alnwick 7 miles.

The pretty village of Embleton is ideally placed for exploring one of the most attractive stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline. A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland.
