  • "House in a good position, with plenty of nearby facilities."

house inside very comfortable The TV was, though, difficult to use, as the "basic" BBC / ITV/ ch4 / ch5 etc could not be accessed .

  • "Great location, seconds from the shops and restaurants."

The property is well equipped and very comfortable, a real home from home. It is very spacious too. I would definitely recommend and we hope to return in the future.

  • "Excellent. So modern and comfortable."

Could not get any nearer to the town-fantastic! Lots of lovely walks. The owner was acessible when we had a problem and always amenable

  • "We have just had a wonderful week in Morpeth."

The holiday cottage was lovely and bigger than we expected. It was very comfortably furnished and in a prime position adjacent to the town. But it was also very quiet and we were not bothered by noise from the road or nearby shops. Altogether a wonderful spot for a holiday!

  • "Property was lovely but a few minor improvements can be made to cleanliness."

Dishwasher was dirty. We didn’t use it but did empty it and lift food wrappers and lids out. Small details like dusting mirror frame in kitchen would make a difference. On stripping the bed in the king size room, the mattress protector had a large stain which was not nice. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay but little things make for a better experience.

  • "Fantastic location; short walks to everything from supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants and Carlisle Park."

Great to have two car parking spaces. Spotlessly clean throughout. Three great sized bedrooms and very comfortable beds. Excellent shower and bathroom. Well stocked kitchen with good appliances. Easy check in and check out process and excellent communication with owners. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this listing.

Very happy with the facilities and the owner was very helpful when contacted. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily book this cottage again.

  • "The position and the cleanliness of the property was excellent."

Beds were comfortable, loads of room to store clothes, bathroom, shower very good. The white carpets all through were "challenging" but illustrated how clean the property was. The one let down was the lack of kitchen equipment, cutlery, china etc. There were only 2 of us but if we book again, and we aim to, a teapot that holds 2 and a half cups maximum is hardly adequate. We will also bring our slow cooker and a pair of kitchen scissors!!

  • "Excellent cottage and location being in the town centre of Morpeth yet very quiet."

Definitely one of the best cottages we have ever rented. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, and I would highly recommend the cottage. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of Sykes. Upon return from the holiday they were supposed to send us a code to enable us £40 off a future booking with them. Over 6 weeks later and after numerous phone calls to them, each time being promised it would be sorted out, I'm still waiting for this code. Their customer service is abysmal to the point of being non existent. I had exactly the same problem in July after a holiday booked with them then and that took over two months to resolve. How much time or intelligence does it take to email a code to me ? Come on Sykes, sort yourselves out!!!

Not a problem but just thought to mention it. The cottage was perfect and in an ideal location for us.

The cottage was located in the middle of the town, less than 2 minutes walk from the bars and restaurants.

  • "Lovely property, in a fantastic location."

Morpeth is a hidden jewel in the north east. The high street was one minute away, as was the lovely Carlisle Park and the river. The cottage was spacious and well equipped. As a family of two adults and two older teenagers the only improvement would be a second bathroom, but I appreciate that this is not possible, and it didn’t affect our enjoyment. We would definitely recommend and return.
