  • “Cottage was lovely, spacious and the facilities were excellent.”

..a lot of thoughtful touches by the owner. Location was good for drives and long walks and A perfect hot tub to relax in after Read in the comments book at the cottage some gripes other people had experienced which for me were moaning for the sake of moaning. It’s right up there with the best cottages we have stayed in for our budget and requirements and we had a lovely few days there and definitely stay again....and recommend

The property

Coldingham 3.5 miles.

A delightful cottage located in the depths of Coldingham, tucked away from the hustle and bustle, with woodland views bordering the exterior.

Couples can turn this holiday into a romantic retreat, or join friends for a peaceful trip in a lovely part of Scotland with an abundance of sightseeing opportunities just waiting to be explored.

The ground floor is home to a wonderful hallway, that continues to a classic bathroom, and a kitchen/diner with modern features and a dining table that seats up to four people.

Relax in the company of the woodburner which will warm those cooler evenings as you spend some quality time with your loved ones.

For a cosy night in, the lounge is a perfect spot to unwind, full of charm, and elevated by views of the garden, which add a characterful spin to the layout.

Two bedrooms are beautifully designed, the first boasts lovely grey and red décor for a touch of vibrancy, and homely furnishings so you can relax in comfort.

The master bedroom has a slightly more sophisticated overtone, home to a sleigh bed, fitted wardrobes and a dressing table where you can get ready for many adventure-filled afternoons.

Both rooms benefit from an enchanting view of the garden or woodland, so you can feel the areas sense of charm without having to leave the comfort of the cottage.

As well as the garden at the cottage, you can enjoy the adjacent meadow for ideal walks.

This has a small orchard as well as a river, with seating positioned throughout to enjoy the striking country views.

With a fabulous beach and excellent canoeing and surfing, the village of Coldingham offers an array of local shops, pubs and restaurants.

Further inland, discover a multitude of abbeys, castles, stately homes and gardens.
