“Fantastic relaxing holiday at Press Mains Farm.”
Very friendly people. Owner very accommodating. Lovely snug cottage, very clean. Only down side was the uncomfortable sofa. Fresh eggs were a bonus. Would definitely recommended Press Mains Farm, lovely quiet walks around the farm, our dog loved it. We will be returning in the near future- Mrs Walton, September 2019

“Lovely cottage for 2 + dog in a valley 2 miles from the A1”
Beautiful location on a wildlife-friendly farm for the smallest of 4 rental properties. Perfect for the 2 of us and our greyhound. He was able to potter in the enclosed back garden or make friends with the farm terrier out at the front. All amenities on offer including dishwasher and spa bath. One or two maintenance issues but nothing major. We'll definitely go back next year.- Suzanne J, August 2018
“Crofters Cottage is a fabulous place to stay in a beautiful area of Scotland.”- Miss Shirley, August 2018
“Really nice little cottage on a farm in the Scottish Borders.”
Gorgeous views over farmland, very quiet, emphasis on working with wildlife, friendly owner (John) and general handyman (Craig). One or two maintenance issues but nothing important. Would we go there again? Absolutely!- Mrs Johnston, July 2018
“I have had a delightful and most relaxing holiday in this beautiful and characteristic cottage.”
The cottage exceeded expectations. Little extras only added to the enjoyment i.e. biscuits (even biscuits for my dog!), tea and coffee, hairdryer and dressing gown. The atmosphere inside the cottage was so cosy, and the fourposter bed was so comfortable; I slept amazingly well. I didn't have to leave the cottage to experience the most marvelous birdlife just outside my window and in the garden. My own individual garden was great to sit in or for the dog to play in. I was made to feel most welcome. Coldingham Bay leading on to St Abb's is breathtaking. I was able to do lots of cliff top walking and loved every minute of it. This is an area (and cottage) that I most certainly will come back to - this cottage makes the holiday all the more special and relaxing.- Ms Charlton, May 2018
Pressmains Farm Cottages
A set of four characterful cottages tucked away onto the edge of Coldingham, elevated by acres of farmland with local wildlife, ducks and deer, along with farm animals. You can stroll to the beach in under an hour, with the whole location being ideal for exploring the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. Coastlines, excellent walking, golf, horse riding, cycling and fishing make for a wonderful afternoon in the area, before returning to the accommodation of your choice. Each retreat boasts its own enclosed garden, perfect for some time away from it all, each cottage even featuring its very own barbecue. Within our own valley, with the river Bere meandering through, it really is a working farm of 1150 acres, with tractors going by the front door often. We grow winter barley, spring barley for malting, wheat for distilling, oats for porridge and have a small flock of breeding sheep. We welcome walkers and also have stables for horses.
