  • "Having never stayed in a lodge before, I was a little apprehensive."

However, as soon as we arrived and stepped into the lodge, I was pleasantly surprised by the clean, comfortable and well equipped accommodation, which included a full size cooker, microwave and small dishwasher. We had everything needed for our stay and were thankful for the quality mattress which made for a great night's sleep. The décor was very tasteful and the location was quiet and yet near to Jedburgh. We stayed for a week and I would have liked to have stayed longer. There are many places to visit and beautiful walks on the doorstep. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, so although we were in a fairly remote location, I knew company was near to us. I would certainly recommend Spinney Lodge.

It was well furnished and had everything we could possibly need. It's a lovely setting and although the road is close by ,it is behind a raised bank and sitting in the Lodge we could only see gently rolling hills, fields and woods. Quite perfect. Situated just 2 miles outside Jedburgh the lodge is perfectly placed to tour the Borders and although early in the year before some places open we still found many interesting places to visit.
