“The location is beautiful and the cottage is ideally situated for easy access to village, to pick up general groceries and the fabulous Carters Rest pub!”

I would however stress that whilst the location is great, with beautiful views, the steep slope and steps could be an issue for some less able than us. I think this should be emphasised more. The cottage was warm and cosy ( once we figured out the settings on the radiator in the lounge) and the welcome pack with a lovely bottle of wine, was appreciated. Plenty of walks around Jedburgh, but be prepared for the steep hills, especially castle gate road! We loved the cottage and would have no hesitation in returning. Thank you
