"A lovely property in a beautiful location."
So scenic and peaceful. Fabulous view from the bedroom. Loved the window seat in the living room to watch the horses in the field across the road. Would highly recommend.

"We had a lovely weekend at this cottage We did think we could sit in the garden and enjoy the sunshine ."
I would take the garden out the advert and just advertise as the cottage. Area was beautiful although cottage could do with a little freshen up. Although it was very clean so not complaining. Thank you for lovely memories with our family

"The accommodation itself was fine however the bedding had a very damp odour, the garden comprised of a very small narrow, overgrown & unkempt area of land with rickety & broken garden furniture, which was accessed by walking across a shared driveway."
Personally, I would not book this accommodation again, however we did have a reasonably pleasant stay making the most of visiting surrounding areas.
All of the bedding was freshly laundered, as it is for all my guests. There have been no complaints in that area so far, and the last feedback was 100%, just to put yours in perspective. I must also say that I did not appreciate having to mop up urine from the bathroom floor, or deal with the aftermath of one of your dogs sharing your bed. The bed was full of dog hairs and there were two bright yellow patches on the fitted sheet; one can surmise what the origin of that is. The general state of the cottage was one of the worst I have had to endure, though to be fair, your washing up skills were above average. Property Owner

Immaculate cottage all the facilities were exactly as listed, beautiful location was lovely to hear the bird song in the morning
Thank you so much for your feedback! It was a pleasure to be able to meet you on your arrival, and I’m so glad you had a wonderful stay at Braeside. I should also add that you were the perfect guests and left the cottage in fine condition, so many thanks for that. Kindest regards, Robert Property Owner

"A nice cottage situated just a walking distance from Coldstream."
It was clean and tidy and i would visit again. There is no off road parking (advertised as off road for one car) but 2 spaces next to the cottage on the road side. Did not use the garden as it needs a bit of a tidy.

"Beautiful cottage in an amazing location for walking, beach and visiting sites of the Scottish Borders."
We were very comfortable and relaxed for our stay. I particularly enjoyed the window seats to look out at the lovely views and the horses grazing in the field opposite. We will be back.

"When we arrived at the property we noticed the bathroom floor seemed damp."
We were due to go out and therefore did not think this was an issue.
Returning later that evening we realised the floor was quite wet.
We mopped up and the following morning the floor was damp again and realised a leak was coming from the toilet.
We contacted the owner and he arranged for this to be fixed during the day, a Saturday, whilst we were out for the day. He kept me fully up to date of progress during the day so that I knew exactly what condition the bathroom would be in when we returned.
I thought this was excellent service and much appreciated.
We were very happy with the cottage for the rest of the stay and would recommend to others.

Everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. Very peaceful location, yet just a five minute drive to the village, so the best of both worlds! Would definitely re visit Braeside without hesitation.

"A very relaxing holiday in this cosy cottage in the beautiful Borders."
So many nice places to visit in Northumberland and Scotland in a central base. With lots of walks in the countryside and beach we were not hampered by the restrictions from Covid 19. Robert the owner was very welcoming and approachable.

"Property advertised as having parking for 2 cars - I would love to know where."
I parked directly in front of the front door, about 6 inches from it to allow for farm machinery/ occasional lorry to pass. Access to the garden was across an access lane to other properties, therefore couldn’t let my dog have free run to the garden. Advertised sleeping for 5 - correct, but in lounge only had comfortable seating for 3 ( 1 x 2 seater sofa plus 1 arm chair ) I don’t class dining furniture as comfortable seating . First time I’ve ever left a property early to come home.

"We found the cottage very clean and tidy, lovely location, owner very responsive,
The cottage was listed for sleeping 5 which it did but with 5 people in the house it would have been a bit overcrowded."
The other item was it was described as hving off road parking for 2 cars. there was no off road parking at all and the on road parking at the front of the house was barely adequate for 1 car. when we parked one car there farm vehicles or lorries stuggled to pass.
we felt that it was totally incorrectly listed.
we loved the location and cottage but the parking meant we would not book again and in future we would be careful booking with yourselves.

"Lovely clean quaint cottage."
Used it as a great base.
Good communication from the owner.
The only thing that would be helpful is a little text or manual left regarding where to find the bins, how to put the heating on etc. Just small things.
The cottage is clean and very well equipped to cook in the cottage. The beds are super comfy. I didn’t realise the garden wasn’t attached to the house so we couldn’t just let the dogs out for fresh air but we took them out regular anyway.
We had a lovely stay. Not much open when we visited in Scotland due to Covid but much more open in Northumberland.
Thank you

"Thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing time at 'Braeside'."
Robert, the owner, was very obliging and kept in touch by text to let us know when cleaning had been completed, the best scenic route to the cottage and even left milk in the fridge for our arrival. We felt very cared for and safe at this unprecedented time and would not hesitate to book 'Braeside' again. Wonderful central location for Holy Island, Bamburgh, Kelso, Edinburgh and much more.
