Double bed was comfortable, plenty of storage in the room. Excellent rain shower & fully equipped kitchen. All very clean. The only disadvantages were having no washing machine & if our friends had come to stay, there was not enough room for 3 cars to park as suggested. We would certainly come back

On both occasions the weather was great. There are many walks from the property, coastal, river and countryside and so many interesting places within a short drive or bus ride. The cottage is very well equiped with welcome packs for humans and dogs. Good offroad parking and a small secure gravel garden with table, chairs and BBQ. Location was perfect for us and if the nearby pub opens again it would add an extra attraction.

Footpaths run through or from the location (Lesbury) to Almouth, Alnwick and there are links to the Coastal Path to go north or south without having to walk with traffic. Bus stops in or just outside the village provide access to the excellent network with services going North, South, East and West. We parked the car on arrival and it didn't move for the week. The area is stunning, fabulous coastline, beautiful towns and villages, lovely friendly people and lots of historical interest. The cottage is very well equipped for dogs and their human companions with many surprise touches. The enclosed small garden area is a safe space and the afternoon sun makes it a great place to chill after a day exploring. We enjoyed it so much we have booked a two week stay next year.
