  • "Fantastic weeks stay at the Granary."

Lovely property, peaceful location, plenty of secure parking. The property itself is full of character, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped especially the kitchen. Beds very comfy and nice bath and shower in the bathroom. For those that bring furry friends, plenty of walks close by and the beach is just ten mins drive. Property owners were close by and available to assist with any queries. Never intrusive but there if needed. Excellent stay, and would return and recommend.

  • "We were really pleased with our stay at the Granary near Morpeth and our first experience with Sykes Cottages."

The Granary was super clean, comfortable and well equipped and just what we were looking for with 5 adults and a wee dog. Booking was easy and efficient and we will definitely be looking again in the future. This particular property is well placed for us as situated half way between home and Edinburgh where we have family. A great find.

  • "Nice cottage, has all the home comforts needed for a break, nice and quiet location."

The beds were nice and comfy and we liked the garden area. The only negative I have was there was so much dog hair on the kitchen chair covers from previous guests that we couldn’t use the dining table to eat but it didn’t put a dampener on things. Overall a lovely quiet holiday and I would definitely recommend the granary to others.

  • "We loved the location and the high standard of fittings in our cottage."

Cleanliness was second to none also. We only used one of the 3bedrooms available . Biggest flaw was the heating throughout. It never did get warm enough where we needed it and it went off during the day which was not good as my wife spent most of her time in the cottage as she has disabilities. The staircase was too steep unfortunately for her also ,however ,it has not meant we would not consider a different cottage which would need to be all on one level such as a bungalow . • "The house was clean and well equipped."

The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed having Sky, so could watch a favourite show of ours. However, the house was a bit too cold for us which affected our comfort. The location was good and the gardens well tended.

  • "We really enjoyed the beautiful interior of the Granary- so bright and clean."

The only negative was the staircase. It did not have a handrail which you could wrap your hands around and the stairs were shallow and very slippery. There was an accident waiting to happen.

Our hosts were very helpful, we made a couple if suggestions that were acted on immediately. We will definately go back to the Granary or to Barnacre, the sister property. Thank you.

  • "I booked this holiday for my daughter and her family as we hadn't seen them for a long while because they live in Shropshire."

They loved the Granary. It was a typical country style cottage and the rooms were very spacious. Furnished beautifully with all homely comforts and utilities. The pictures on the site don't do it justice but I can assure anyone booking this holiday cottage, they won't be disappointed. Parking was good too and the location is perfect in a quiet village with a short drive to the beautiful town of Morpeth. Easy access to the A1 that leads you to many historic and interesting places to visit. I highly recommend this cottage. It was worth every penny.

  • "Property was as advertised, well presented, clean and comfortable."

The off-road parking was within the grounds and easily accessible. The car parking discs provided were very useful in the local towns and the wi-fi worked well throughout the property. We would certainly stay here again.

  • "It always felt safe here with the owners on site and welcoming."

There are a lot of nice touches; in the kitchen high quality crockery, plenty of everything, dishwasher and freezer. Sky television and Alexa in living room. Plenty of towels and mini shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. Outside space beautifully maintained. We would highly recommend this property.

The kitchen was lovley,we have been in a few cottages, but this one was the best,it really did have every thing that you have at home.you could have stayed in the kitchen all day.the only draw back was that on your website it stated that there would be bunk beds

Thank you for your kind review. However I don’t understand your comment about bunk beds;; they are in the end bedroom clearly visible and useable Property Owner
