  • "The house was stunning and June was really welcoming."

We had a fabulous weekend and would love to go back!

  • "The accommodation was exceptional but the availability of cups / mugs / glasses / knives and forks didn't match up to the size of our party."

Could also have benefited from having things like a measuring jug. One or two things weren't working, e.g. light sensors in the hallway near the utility room and on the main staircase, also the light over the mirror in the bathroom in the main bedroom didn't work.

  • "This property is so spacious."

Plenty of room for us all to spread out. The surrounding estate is beautiful and peaceful... not a sound to be heard except the sheep. We could have just stayed and relaxed by the lake, or walked through the woods or had a drink on the high terrace but the beautiful beach at Bamburgh is only 20 mins away. The owners were always on hand if you needed anything. We hope to return soon

We were welcomed and immediately felt at home. The property was clean and well cared for . The play room for our five grandchildren was great asset. The bedrooms were comfortable and it was great that they were all en suite. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty crockery and cutlery. We would certainly like to go again

Had a barbeque on our last evening. The weather was amazing, we swam in the sea. An unforgettable family holiday.

  • "We loved The Coach House."

It is a gorgeous house, very well appointed and spotlessly clean with everything you could want. The hosts are really welcoming and touches like home made cake and wine left for us were lovely. The Fantastic location and surroundings made for a perfect holiday.

  • "We were a party of 6 adults, 4 children and a baby."

We felt completely at home, with the layout of the house suiting our different needs: from playroom, to dining room, and TWO lounges (!), which meant we had plenty of room to spread out. We loved the kitchen/dining room combination, and the fact that the kitchen was extremely well stocked with all you might imagine: and if your imagination was up to it, and you discovered the lack of something, then June and Brian were on-hand to supply it! The setting is a children's wonderland, with a play area, woods and lawns to explore ... though there are hazards such as the river to be aware of. All in all, we thought this was a delightful location and accommodation.

  • "Great house."

Had everything we needed, which isn't always the case for holiday homes. Eg, nice to have a dining table that actually seats the number of people that can sleep in the house. Great to have dishwasher tables, dishcloths, washing up liquid etc all provided. Great to have enough cooking trays, bowls etc. Owner could not have been nicer or more helpful. Cracking part of the world, lots to do in the area. Beautiful grounds to this house, a large area available for exploring, a kids play park, and our own private BBQ area.

  • "The house and the grounds were stunning and exceeded expectations."

It was very spacious and clean with good facilities, and the freedom to wander the huge grounds. The owners were very welcoming, informative and considerate. The beautiful location comes with the requirement to drive or walk, the nearest pub being around 40 mins walk away, however the views across to Holy Island are worth seeing. The location is perfect for visiting Alnwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses and Berwick upon Tweed and the coast has some stunning deserted beaches. We did the Pilgrim's Walk across the sand to Holy Island which took about an hour and was a really good experience. The photographs of the property don't do it justice and all rooms are now en suite. The welcome pack of cake and wine was much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this location and would definitely return.

The kitchen was easy to use and right next to the dining room with a large table for family meals. The en suite facilities were excellent.
