“The Estate Office is located in such a tranquil, woodland setting, it really did make us feel that we had chosen a true haven from which to explore the beautiful Northumberland countryside and coastline.”

As a taster, the main road approaching the turning for the accommodation offers great views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Ann is an exceptional host who really does focus on doing all those 'little things' to ensure that your stay at the Estate Office is a truly positive and memorable experience, for example in the lead up to the day of arrival Ann emailed us with the access arrangements and included in this email was the offer for us to place an order with any of the local supermarkets, which she named for us and for which she would be happy to receive on our behalf prior to arrival. Ann also came to see us after arrival to ensure we had everything we needed and also made suggestions of walks and places to see; she also visited on the evening before we left to ask if everything had been okay. Once at the property, amongst the complimentary provisions, we discovered fresh homemade scones, fresh flowers and freshly laid eggs from Ann's own hens. The wonderfully spacious and comfortable lounge had also been decorated with Easter ornaments and Easter chocolates had been 'hidden' for us to discover. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and a real 'home from home' experience; the showers are fab and the bedrooms are spacious with good hanging and drawer space and lovely crisp white bed linen. We would have no hesitation at all to recommend The Estate Office as a place to call home for the duration of your stay in Northumberland and we certainly hope to return at some point in the future.
