“Our stay in part was as we expected based upon reviews that had previously been left.”
We chose this cottage because of its centralized location to Morpeth.
We were not on holiday but visiting for a funeral my husband’s mother died so we came home to put her to rest. Our stay went well.
We found the cottage had three things going for it that basically sold it (As my husband put it).
1: Location to the center of town in Morpeth.
2: The Parking space/garaging at the rear.
3: The long fully stocked kitchen bright and airy.
And since it was winter the central heating helped a lot, it was peaceful and quiet for us.
However the downsides:
With the exception of the kitchen the rest of the cottage needs a face life, paint job, carpets changed (preferable laminate flooring as you allow pets).
And some stronger variable lighting, the living and dining areas were very dark to the eye at night (maybe a couple of extra standing lamps?
There was three of us myself my husband and brother so ample space for sleeping.
If you guys were to tidy it up a bit I would definitely book it again, as it suited our needs.
But one “must”, would be Wi-Fi connection, these days it’s a must! Especially if you’re dragging work around on your laptop, hot spotting on your phones connection is slow and just does not work.
Our score/view is good! But could so easily be made to be excellent.
Many thanks for all you positive feedback and we can now confirm that we have had new wooden floors fitted throughout the ground floor We are currently looking into installing wifi and take on board your comments regarding the lighting but this is personal preference. We hope we will stay with us again.
