  • "Great cottage that was clean, spacious, well maintained with lovely views."

Positioned down a quiet country road just of the A1 it is in a great position for visiting most major attractions. Great range of kitchen utensils and items needed for a holiday eg maps, local walking books etc. Great advice re where to visit from Julie who also left a scrummy lemon drizzle cake.

  • "Croft Cottage is the perfect place to stay if you want peace and quiet and to get away from the hustle and bustle."

The cottage was clean, comfortable and very well-equipped. The host was very warm and welcoming and available for any queries or local information. As a family of 5 the cottage was perfect for us and we enjoyed the nature and wildlife on our doorstep. Croft Cottage is perfectly located to explore the area around Bamburgh and Seahouses. Alnmouth, Amble, Alnwick and Holy Island are all within easy reach too. We would not hesitate to return to Croft Cottage. We have booked several holidays through Sykes Cottages and would highly recommend this holiday company.

  • "We received a warm welcome from Julie who much to our delight gave us homemade cakes to enjoy and milk, in a beautiful well appointed kitchen."

She also gave us information about the nearest shop and eateries. The cottage is situated across the road from the farm and has its own garden area from which we enjoyed the views of the countryside. The nearly new cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and exceedingly comfortable with a cosy lounge, lovely bedrooms and linen. In our opinion this is a five star cottage.

There was everything we needed and all the equipment was of high quality. The cottage was warm and comfortable and there was constant hot water. The owner came to greet us and was very helpful and there if we needed her. We had a most enjoyable holiday in this beautiful part of the country. Thank you.
