“Collingwood A was a last minute break for me but proved to be a little gem!”

The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need. An excellent shower and the surrounding Tynemouth is brilliant. The 3 beaches are so close just up the road which was a surprise and there is a distant sea view at the rear. Great market at the station at weekends and the Metro to Newcastle takes only 20 minutes. Only changes I would make are curtains in the bedroom as the street light shines in around the blind. A headboard would be nice too. Otherwise perfect. Owners were really ...

The Collingwood Apartments

These two well-finished apartments rest above the owners veterinary practice on the main street in Tynemouth, with a range of bars, shops, cafes and restaurants just a stone's throw away, as well as the ruins of the medieval Tynemouth Priory and Castle which now offer interactive displays, a restored gun battery and sea views. Also in the seaside town of Tynemouth, you can enjoy a trip to the aquarium, take a splash in the shoreside outdoor swimming pool, go for a walk along the pier, relax on one of the sandy beaches or play a round golf at the local course, as well as enjoying the exciting park which offers mini golf and boating on the lake. The town is bustling with great history including a number of historical lighthouses, the Statue of Admiral Lord Collingwood and the Old Low Light Heritage Museum. Take a short drive into the popular town of Newcastle where you can discover the 11th century castle which boasts views over the city and river, or indulge in some tasty food and great shopping. The city is also packed with some interesting museums and galleries, as well as the 12th century Morden Tower and the National Trust Holy Jesus Hospital which has a medieval hospital dating back 700 years and offering monthly tours. Within driving distance, you can also explore the stunning city of Durham, enjoy a day out at Ocean Beach Pleasure Park in South Shields or visit the Living Museum of the North in Beamish for a recreation of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian life. The Collingwood Apartments is a superb spot whether you want to dig into history, relax amongst beaches and parks, or indulge in a range of eateries.
