  • "Had a great half term break at Sanctuary view with four grand kids age between 10 and 14."

    This property is ideal for a family break, we loved the games room and the pool table , darts and retro games machine. The house is vey modern and well equipped and is in a quiet location on a new estate. I can recommend this property for a larger family group especially with younger teenagers.

    It had everything you could want to make a lovely time. Owner very responsive and sent welcome message. Beautiful time spent on Cresswell Beach and lots of local walks from the property. Would definitely come back

  • "Beautiful property but underfloor heating was too much in the heat, kitchen like a sauna."

    Lighting was too dark for me, have cataracts so extremely difficult to see in the evening as light shades very dark. Need lighting in the tea/coffee area. Rain shower head in bedroom next to the Master, the water only comes out of half the shower head and could do with shelving in all shower cubicles. The key safe is very inconveniently placed in the back garden and far too low makes it extremely difficult to key in the code. Being advised of where to find the fob for the electric gate in advance of arrival would have been a helpl All that said, if you enjoy a holiday away from everything and everyone then this is the place for you. Extremely well equipped, I think the only thing it didn't have was a blender. Stray cat constantly coming into the house and using the garden as its toilet was a bit of a pain perhaps guests can be advised not to encourage or feed stray animals.

  • "Really comfortable, spacious property."

    One small issue with cleanliness and a little maintenance required (particularly guttering to the front which poured water during a rain storm) but will definitely book to stay at the property again.

The lovely market town of Morpeth is situated centrally in Northumberland and is an ideal base from which to reach the coast or countryside. Offering the remains of an historic castle, lovely parks, riverside walks, ancient architecture and churches and an old chantry with a bagpipe museum, Morpeth is also ideal for visiting surrounding attractions such as Druridge Bay to the east, with miles of golden sands, the vibrant city of Newcastle to the south, Alnwick to the north, with its castle and gardens and the National Trust's Wallington Hall to the west.
