  • "Lovely comfortable, very well equipped cottage which had been decorated for our Christmas getaway."

Thanks also for the Christmas treats, they were much appreciated.

  • "The accommodation appeared to be brand new and the rooms & layout were ideal."

As keen hikers (and beer drinkers) the location was ideally positioned to explore Northumberland and there were more than enough pubs and restaurants close by in Seahouses. The property was immaculately clean & tidy and had every possible facility / provision necessary for a very enjoyable stay. The property was a real credit to the owners and we will certainly like to return in the near future.

We very much appreciated the friendly and helpful support from the caretaking neighbour. The location, although a little way out of Seahouses was very pleasant and quiet. We only had bikes to get around, but it proved to be an ideal spot from which to explore.

Everything was immaculately clean and of a very high standard, making our stay a very comfortable one. The only thing we felt was missing was some sort of mirror/dressing table in the main bedroom. It was difficult to use a hairdryer! Would definitely return however, and would not hesitate recommending this lovely place. Many thanks!

  • "The property was as described and in a good location 15 minutes walk into Seahouses."

The biggest negative was only one tea towel for a whole week this is totally inadequate. Also the property would benefit from a mat at the back door to stop freshly mown grass treading into the kitchen. Sorry we had to move the glass coffee table due to the number of bruises we were suffering. (And that was before we had a drink) . And lastly it would have been nice to have some pasta bowls. These comments did not detract from our enjoyable stay.

  • "We had a lovely & much needed week’s break in the stunningly appointed Brindles Manse."

The property is finished to an extremely high standard yet still maintains a warm, cosy country feel. Despite the current Covid-19 restrictions, we felt extremely safe due to the extra precautions put in place (late check in/early check out, anti-bac hand wash throughout & NHS Track Trace on door). There were some VERY MINOR things we noted but these did not detract from our stay. • Kitchen knives very blunt & there is no steel. • Laundry instructions, for end of you stay, are somewhat confusing. In places it says leave everything in bathroom but elsewhere advises, due to Covid, please put everything in sealed bag provided (1 bin bag only). • A very kind neighbour removes the dustbin the evening before collection & returns it. Interestingly however, bins are placed ‘on the corner as you turn into Brindles Manse’ not ‘on the drive’ eg: where you park your car. • As another guest review had mentioned, we would’ve preferred the kitchen TV in the living room. However, we couldn’t tune in the Smart TV to the wifi (log into Netflix etc) so left it in situ. We had a lovely stay. The beds were extremely comfortable & the shower is amazing! Could hold a dance in the kitchen it’s so big yet it still maintains a warm cosy feel. If you prefer more than Freeview TV, bring a Firestick or a good book! You couldn’t ask for more in a stunning part of the country.

  • "A great property in a super location."

It had been finished to a high spec with a lot of thought. Considering the current situation with Covid we had expected less so were pleasantly surprised. All feedback is minor as we had a lovely stay and have recommended the property to friends. We would have liked a visitors book to add thanks and comments for the owners. The tv with dvd facilities was in the kitchen rather than the lounge which they may want to rethink / swap. We still played our films so was fine just comfier to sit in the lounge of a evening. The bed in the double room felt small we weren’t sure if it was a three quarter rather than a double. With a 6 foot 4 husband it felt a bit cramped but we managed. Overall just being out of our house in another place after months of lockdown and working from home was wonderful. The beach nearby was gorgeous and we enjoyed walking into Seahouses most days too. Thank you

We are really please to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Brindles Cottage and that you have recommended us to friends. The visitors book has been removed from the property for the time being due to Covid-19 guidelines. The double bed is a full size double. If you wanted to swap the TV's around then this wouldn't have been an issue, we have left the larger screened TV in the living room as it is bigger. We hope to see you again soon. Property Owner
