  • "My husband and I and another couple stayed here for New Year and had a great time."

The hot tub was amazing. The owner has obviously listened to the previous feedback as it was clean and the water pressure was fine. Kitchen was well equipped and the living area was cosy (small but adequate). The bedrooms were quite small but it didn’t bother us and there was storage, just not in the rooms. It was a pity the bar/restaurant opposite was closed for two days of the stay as there is nothing else within a short walk so bring your own supplies or a car is advised. All in all, a great stay

  • "Great stay - having read some reviews was a little concerned , however the lodge was comfortable and clean - hot tub was fabulous, beds were comfortable and kitchen well equipped for our weeks stay ."

  • "The lodge was nice but the water pressure in the bathroom was poor which is not very good for hygiene as well as covid."

  • "Great place to stay!"

! The outside of the lodge was better than it looked on the pictures as it has a gate (to keep the kids in) and decent table with benches. Only negatives were that it could have been cleaner (lots of dog hairs on floor) and shower water pressure was terrible. Would stay here again though despite these.

  • "On arrival cleanliness was well below standard expected especially during this time of covid when you would expect places to be spotless."

I have already fed back and a cleaner turned up a day before we went home. Too late as we spent an hour cleaning on arrival. The floor had not been cleaned, we swept a pile of crumbs, crisps etc up. The settees had greasy finger marks all over and had crumbs and crisps between the seat cushions, also moved settee as could see spillage and floor again covered in crumbs, crisps etc. Dust on top of all panel radiators and headboard in main bedroom. The bathroom was disgusting the sealant was missing along back of bath and it was generally dirty there was a ladies shaver left in one of the bathroom drawers, disgusting. Smell of damp in hallway which was really unpleasant. There was no smell of cleaning fluids on arrival although there was a checklist saying everything had been disinfected. The accommodation does not have enough seating for more than 4 people. Luckily my sons an girlfriends only stayed a couple of nights so we just managed but it would have been very uncomfortable had they stayed the week. The details say enjoy a meal with friends at dining table their isn't one only a breakfast bar. We loved the site and area but would not stay at this lodge again we left a day early as we had had enough of it and would not recommend this lodge to anyone else.
