“Lovely cottage with everything you needed for a comfortable stay.”

Really cosy on a cold wet day with the log burner on. It does have a bit of a musty smell but nothing that can't be solved by opening the windows a little bit which you can do and still be able to lock them.

The property

This beautiful, double-fronted cottage is located in the square at Powburn village, in Northumberland.

It is the ideal retreat for a family of four or group of friends looking to explore National Parks, nature reserves and the beautiful coastline.

Once you have found hidden treasures, discovered a network of walking trails and historic sites, return to share a relaxing break together.

Step straight into the entrance hall and through to the living room, which plays host to a lovely dining area set in one corner, a lovely space to socialise with your loved ones.

Relax on the sofas in front of the woodburning stove and tune into the TV to stream one of your favourite movies.

The kitchen is home to modern, integrated appliances for you to cook up a delicious meal and there are French doors out to an enclosed garden area.

The ground floor is complete with a bathroom, featuring a shower over the bathtub and a modern finish.

Climb the stairs to a choice of two well-presented bedrooms; a double and a twin, offering flexible sleeping arrangements and soothing décor.

There are bedside tables and lamps, so you can enjoy an evening read before bed, as well as ample storage space to stow away your belongings.

Powburn is home to a village shop, however there are a wider range of amenities in Wooler, easily reached by car along the A697.

It plays host to a number of pubs, bars and eateries at the foothills of the Cheviot Hills.
