The cottage

Glanton 0.5 miles.

This stone-built, semi-detached, former country farmhouse is situated next to the owners' home which is incorporated on a working farm with Horses and Sheep romaing in enclosed fields, half a mile from the village of Glanton and just nine miles from beautiful Alnwick.

Set amidst rolling countryside, this lovely cottage boasts comfortable and cosy accommodation throughout, perfect for a couple, small family or group of friends.

Once inside you will find two bedrooms, including one with a four poster bed, together with a family bathroom.

Downstairs there?s a well-equipped kitchen with dining area and a welcoming sitting room with a wonderful woodburner.

After a busy day, why not relax on the front lawned garden, where you can light the barbecue and dine alfresco.

Also, there's the convenience of off road parking for three cars.

The owner's also offer stabling and use of a manège, at an additional cost if you would like to bring your horse with you for the week!

There is even a warm shower area for rinsing off your dogs after a day of exploring.

The surrounding area is awash with many footpaths and cycle routes just waiting to be explored, whilst Northumberland's magnificent National Park is just a five minute drive away.

With the historic market town of Alnwick with its grand Norman castle and gardens nearby and the stunning Heritage Coast within easy reach; this is a perfect base for those wishing to explore all that this beautiful region has to offer!

The small, pretty Northumberland village of Glanton is situated in the foothills of the Cheviots and surrounded by glorious countryside. The village has a shop and a pub, whilst a wide range of amenities, shops etc. are available in the nearby county town of Alnwick. The village makes an ideal base for exploring the Northumberland National Park, Alnwick with its imposing castle (known to millions as Hogwarts School in Harry Potter!) and the impressive Alnwick Gardens visitor attraction. The spectacular coastline, the attractive small town of Rothbury and the well known National Trust country house and gardens at Cragside are all within easy reach.
