  • "Beautiful cottage, beautiful location."

Loved the wild life, loved the walks away from it all but with lovely neighbours who had knowledge of the area. Cottage excellent clean, comfortable every thing you good need in the kitchen. Games, books and plenty of information for days out. Only niggle TV in lounge quite small and picture fairly faint but we don't watch much tv so no bother to us, tv's in all bedrooms but we didnt use them just a thought if you need for occupying youngsters..will definitely be back again.

Fantastic location away from all the noise and traffic just what we wanted and the full location cleanliness comfort facilities were just brilliant and highly recommended the bad bits and remember I am being very critical given we knew some of the problems before we arrived but its just small points 1, a sign at the gate entrance would be nice 2, a second bathroom would have been nice 3, some more towels would have been nice as said the above points are being highly critical as its difficult to find any faults Susan is so nice and easy to speak to and if your looking for recommendations 1) Milk Bar Wooler 2 Milan Wooler (went twice) 3 Lavender Tearooms at ETAL and Ford, and the Black Bull at Etal are all really good especially if you like ice cream (Milk Bar) But avoid THE RED LION INN AT MILFIELD we were very disappointed

  • "We booked New Cottage because we were looking for two weeks of peace and quiet and we weren't disappointed."

The cottage was well fitted out, well maintained and clean. We were welcomed by the owner who made sure we were settled in. The surroundings with Yeavering Bell towering over the cottage were idyllic. The location suited us exactly with facilities available in Wooler. We've travelled around the country for holidays but this is one location we'll return to very soon.
