“lovely and handy”
Extremely well fitted first and second floor flat and very clean, Tried roll top bath but could not get out of it! so not used properly again! Every thing you could think of in the kitchen and as one that has a dishwasher it was no hard ship washing the dishes. After all there were just two of us. Liked having the washing machine. Just round the corner from the shops and we managed to park the car in front well before the no parking signs of the tandoori place ...
Just round the corner from the shops and we managed to park the car in front well before the no parking signs of the tandoori place. Knew the bathroom was off the lounge but as we keep getting up in the night it was a little routine getting down the stairs in the dark. We well recommend this place.
“Rothbury is a good place to explore Northumberland's beautiful countryside and places of interest.”
The holiday flat was clean and comfortable. There is no longer a tea shop located beneath, which we expected but this did not affect our holiday as lots of other places around to eat.
“Lovely clean well maintained flat.”
Was advised parking was on first come basis but there is no parking, had to leave my car a good distance from our accomadation therefore could not keep an eye on it too see if it was ok.only drawback.lovely break .
“This apartment is ideally placed to enjoy the lovely town of Rothbury - the riverside walks, dog friendly pubs and great little microbrewery, the cafes and and tea rooms.”
The apartment is spotlessly clean, warm and extremely comfortable. It was great to be able to enjoy a bath after a day's walking. The bright spacious dining kitchen was really nice and the beds very comfortable.A lovely drive over the moors takes you to Alnwick, with its castle, gardens and shops and a bit further gets you to the breathtaking Northumberland coastline. The owners of the apartment were very accessible and friendly, offering advice on where to eat or visit. We are looking forward to returning.
“I don’t like to be negative, but the kitchen could be a little better equipped.”
e.g. No sharp knife for preparing food. The bathroom was cold as radiator didn’t give out much heat. Also, we had to bathe in about 4 inches of water as boiler didn’t produce enough water for a bath. A shower would be better. Apart from this we found the accommodation very satisfactory& a great position in the town.
“The wine, biscuits, popcorn and milk in the fridge was a lovely welcome touch”
“Very Relaxing and Great Location”
We stayed in the ground floor apartment which has 3 double bedrooms so easily sleeps 6 people. We were meet by the owner Neil who had even left sweets for the children and a bottle of wine all for me, a lovely touch. Clean and well equipped so we wanted for nothing. Set in the centre of Rothbury, it's a lovely location to stop in for local attractions such as Cragside or Alnwick castle, also lovely beaches at Seahouses. Very quiet and some lovely local walks. I would have no hesitation in recommending!
“Beautiful and we look forward to coming back.”
We had a lovely weekend visiting friends, the cottage was lovely and had everything you could possibly need. Homely and comfortable with lots of lovely little touches. We recommend the little pottery shop for children to paint pots. Lovely little village. We look forward to returning. X
