  • "This is a lovely property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

The kitchen is well equipped and the property is clean, tidy and well thought through. There were a few minor elements that really let it down. Bed sheets were ripped at the seems. Not all beds had mattress protectors and not all pillows had cases. Some mugs and utensils in the kitchen were incredibly dirty, although this was easily remedied by cleaning ourselves. One of the blue cushions seemed to be covered in dried snot. The carpet on the fifth step up from the bottom floor was also detached from the gripper. This needs fixing as a matter of urgency. Hand soap seemed to be watered down and there were minimal cleaning supplies available. I’d recommend staying because the property is beautiful and competitively priced but do bring along a few essentials to make your stay more comfortable.

I’m sorry to hear some things were not up to standard . I have noted your issues and will address immediately. I apologize , we have been extremely busy and unfortunately I don’t visit the property myself. I rely on reports from house keeping . I was unaware of these issues and damaged /missing items . Thank you Property Owner

  • "The cottage is in a superb location."

It’s a very quiet area and the sound of the river flowing is very relaxing. The outside area is a great place to sit and take in the surroundings. We had no problems finding things to do and the furthest we travelled was to Holy Island which was about an hour and 20 mins away. Lots to do without having to travel too far. The house is well decorated although there were a few areas that needed touching up. It was really interesting reading up on the history of the house too. We really enjoyed our stay although there are a few minor tweaks that could be made to improve things even further. In the main bedroom there’s only one bedside cabinet and no real storage space. There were a lot of coat hangers however, which was a plus. The house could do with a bit more storage space generally. The property needs more cutlery (I think a previous review mentioned this). A welcome pack would have made a difference too considering the property is not a cheap option. A few more pictures/furnishings would make the house feel a bit more homely. These aren’t major issues however. Overall the house definitely has the wow factor, the riverside location is fantastic and we’d definitely recommend.

Thank you for your feedback, we are working to address many of your points and are giving mill race a make over in the new year . Thanks Property Owner
