  • "Very comfortable modern property."

Perfect location close to Seahouses Golf Club and the town centre (10 minute stroll ) where you find all the necessary shops to provide for a self catering holiday, including a Co-op, butchers, bakers, three Fish & Chip restaurants/take aways. Independent shops, gift shops, post office, four Pubs, amusement arcade, National Trust shop and Italian, Chinese and Indian restaurants. The house has every need catered for, the owners being meticulous in providing ample pans, pots and utensils in the kitchen. Quality comfortable furniture in the dining area and lounge. Smart t.v. lots of DVD’s and books. Extremely comfortable beds with quality bedding. The owners are local and very supportive, offering to help and advise. We have loved our stay at 3 Kings Field and will certainly have no hesitation in recommending. We look forward to returning.

Only a short walk to the centre of Seahouses. If your travelling there with a pet and you don’t want them going upstairs you’ll have to bring your own baby gate, which we did. There was a problem with charging the vacuum cleaner but that was very quickly rectified. The owners Hilda and John were always helpful. The smart TV was good and the garden was very well secured.

It is a comfortable dwelling with modern appearance and spacious living room, kitchen and utility room. The latter is brilliant for coming into the rear of the house with a dog that needs drying. The four bedrooms are a decent size and provide quiet spaces to rest one's head. The house has all of the equipment that one needs for an enjoyable holiday. All in all this house provides an excellent base in which to enjoy a holiday close to beaches and wildlife.

This time we came with other family members so opted for a larger property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 3 Kings Field. The house is in an ideal location, very comfortable with lovely large bedrooms, a very well equipped kitchen with everything we could need and more. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and I can imagine would be even better in the summer. If we were coming with family/friends again we would definitely like to return.

  • "We spent a lovely week at 3 Kings Field."

The house was warm and comfortable and seemed more spacious IRL than the photos in the listing. It was well equipped, there was a thoughtful welcome pack and enough sundry items like cleaning products which helped make it easy for us to settle in quickly. Our older, medium-sized, dog loved the garden. There is only a short walk to the local shops, cafes etc and the beach is even closer. Seahouses had enough shops and takeaways to serve our needs throughout the week. Owners sent really clear and informative information by email before we arrived, and were available for any queries during our stay. My husband has asked if we can go back again next year.

Good location for visiting the surrounding area and very clean and tidy.

Thank you for your kind review. We considered putting hooks on the doors but decided against it as too much damage could be done to the door if too much weight is put on them. There are discreet folding hooks on the wall just inside the door of the main bedroom, but we will have to consider whether it is feasible to put hooks in the other rooms. • "Upstairs was much better than downstairs."

The bedding and towels were plentiful , new (?) bathrooms clean . Did not appreciate finding a bible in every bedroom and bible stories in kids room - I could be religious without being Christian. ! Downstairs- kitchen clean and well stocked. Sitting room very cold and uninviting. Floor felt very dirty and decor uninviting. Not nice to sit in! Don’t like having a tablecloth! Very hot upstairs but cold downstairs. Well located . Was told off by next door but one neighbour for accidentally walking across her garden at the front - coming back from Seahouses you don’t notice the Keep off the grass sign as it’s facing the other way - not knowing the layout it’s a bit confusing- it was our first morning there. Have stayed in Northumberland many times but wouldn’t stay there again .

Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review. We are sorry that your experience of the property was not as positive as most guests as we endeavour to make the experience as near home from home as we can. We are glad the bedrooms, bathrooms and linen were satisfactory. The linen is good quality and our wonderful cleaners do a good job of keeping the place clean and the linen sterile. The Bibles were donated by the Gideons who give Bibles to environments where there are guests who may find them useful. They are kept discretely in a drawer in each room and some guests have appreciated finding them there. We agree that at the moment the living room does seem a little uninviting, we had the carpet removed because it was impossible to keep clean with the throughflow of doggy paws and walking shoes. We chose a non-slip wood effect flooring that looked good on the sample. Unfortunately the flooring has far more knot effects than we were expecting and that does make the floor look a little dirty, though we can assure you that our cleaners thoroughly cleaned the area before your arrival. We are currently awaiting the arrival of a rug to make the living area more inviting. The tablecloth may be removed by anyone that doesn’t wish to use it. We are not sure why the room was cold downstairs as that is where the thermostat is and guests may set it at whatever temperature they wish for whatever duration they wish. We sent our phone numbers to you by email and they are also in the information left in the house, if you had contacted us we would have immediately tried to rectify any faults with the heating. We are sorry you had an unfortunate encounter with our neighbours as they are usually very friendly and polite, though we can understand them not wanting a groove worn in their garden from myriads of feet using it as a short-cut. We hope you have many more happy visits to this beautiful area. Property Owner

Comfy property , would benefit a deep clean , shower cubicle is a bit (compact) and needs some t l c ie mouldy sealant and dirty grout one shower is not enough for a four bedroom property an over bath shower would solve the problem also a strong smell of heating oil in parts of the property

We're glad you found the property comfy and thank you for drawing our attention to the mould in the shower, this has now been rectified. As to having a shower over the bath, this we would love to do, but the layout of the bathroom is such that it would need a complete new refit, maybe something for the future..... Also the oil smell has been looked at and it has been deemed that there is no leak, it could have been something to do with the wind direction at the time and also the tank being recently filled. Expected nothing else from a 4 bedroom detached house. 2 of the double bedrooms were a really good size and lovely, high comfortable beds. The leather settees were also a bonus for comfort. Another reason we chose this property. Would not choose anywhere that had small, cheap, holiday rental furniture. The quite large and very well kept enclosed garden was great for our dog. Also liked the private parking and area at the front. To be in the first line of houses off the main road was a real convenience. So close to walk down to the beach for doggy walks. Short walk into all the amenities and to the left the golf course 'Retreat' do a lovely Sunday lunch. The bus stop was a few yards along on the main road. A visit to Cragside at this time of year, if only to see the rhododendrons in full bloom was a real treat for us. Fortunately the weather was on our side. Drove up and left the rain behind us and had no rain until the Thursday night into Friday morning for our departure. What more could we ask for?
