  • "A very clean and comfortable property."

It was well equipped and there was plenty of space for five of us and a 10 month old baby. Ideally placed for a few minutes walk to the beach or shops. The owners were very considerate in leaving plenty of instructions and information for the property and the area. After many years of staying in holiday lets this was the first time an owner has sent an e-mail welcoming us and wishing us a good holiday. I like that personal touch. Oh and congratulations to the gardener. A very pretty and well designed space.

Thank you for your lovely review of the house and area. Your comments about the garden are much appreciated. We hope the garden is a reasonably functional child and dog safe area so it's lovely to know you found it pretty too. Thank you. Property Owner

Cottage very comfortable with all the amenities provided and secure garden for the dog. Great peaceful location, 5 min stroll to a dog friendly beach and 10 min to the centre of Seahouses.

Thank you for your review. We're glad you enjoyed the prosecco, we think it's good to have a little something to help celebrate being on holiday. We're pleased you found the garden a safe secure place for your dog and that you found all the amenities you needed. By the way, the cleaners commented on how clean and tidy you had left the place, and for that we thank you. We hope the good effects of your holiday stay with you for a long time. J&H Property Owner

  • "Upstairs was much better than downstairs."

The bedding and towels were plentiful , new (?) bathrooms clean . Did not appreciate finding a bible in every bedroom and bible stories in kids room - I could be religious without being Christian. ! Downstairs- kitchen clean and well stocked. Sitting room very cold and uninviting. Floor felt very dirty and decor uninviting. Not nice to sit in! Don’t like having a tablecloth! Very hot upstairs but cold downstairs. Well located . Was told off by next door but one neighbour for accidentally walking across her garden at the front - coming back from Seahouses you don’t notice the Keep off the grass sign as it’s facing the other way - not knowing the layout it’s a bit confusing- it was our first morning there. Have stayed in Northumberland many times but wouldn’t stay there again .

Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review. We are sorry that your experience of the property was not as positive as most guests as we endeavour to make the experience as near home from home as we can. We are glad the bedrooms, bathrooms and linen were satisfactory. The linen is good quality and our wonderful cleaners do a good job of keeping the place clean and the linen sterile. The Bibles were donated by the Gideons who give Bibles to environments where there are guests who may find them useful. They are kept discretely in a drawer in each room and some guests have appreciated finding them there. We agree that at the moment the living room does seem a little uninviting, we had the carpet removed because it was impossible to keep clean with the throughflow of doggy paws and walking shoes. We chose a non-slip wood effect flooring that looked good on the sample. Unfortunately the flooring has far more knot effects than we were expecting and that does make the floor look a little dirty, though we can assure you that our cleaners thoroughly cleaned the area before your arrival. We are currently awaiting the arrival of a rug to make the living area more inviting. The tablecloth may be removed by anyone that doesn’t wish to use it. We are not sure why the room was cold downstairs as that is where the thermostat is and guests may set it at whatever temperature they wish for whatever duration they wish. We sent our phone numbers to you by email and they are also in the information left in the house, if you had contacted us we would have immediately tried to rectify any faults with the heating. We are sorry you had an unfortunate encounter with our neighbours as they are usually very friendly and polite, though we can understand them not wanting a groove worn in their garden from myriads of feet using it as a short-cut. We hope you have many more happy visits to this beautiful area. Property Owner

  • "3 Kings Field is a great property."

Very spacious, clean, comfortable and cosy. Quality bed linen and towels. Lovely welcome pack from the owners. A great secure garden ideal for dogs. Ideally situated within walking distance to the centre of Seahouses for all restaurants, pubs, etc. The owners have thought about everything to make a stay in their property a wonderful experience. We encountered Storm Arwen whilst at the property, power cuts, no heating, no hot water. Thank you John and Hilda for your hospitality, going above and beyond to make sure we had some heating and hot water Can't wait to return for another memorable stay.

Thank you Sue for your understanding during the storm. We're really pleased that despite everything you still enjoyed your stay and we are looking forward to seeing you again. Property Owner

Comfy property , would benefit a deep clean , shower cubicle is a bit (compact) and needs some t l c ie mouldy sealant and dirty grout one shower is not enough for a four bedroom property an over bath shower would solve the problem also a strong smell of heating oil in parts of the property

We're glad you found the property comfy and thank you for drawing our attention to the mould in the shower, this has now been rectified. As to having a shower over the bath, this we would love to do, but the layout of the bathroom is such that it would need a complete new refit, maybe something for the future..... Also the oil smell has been looked at and it has been deemed that there is no leak, it could have been something to do with the wind direction at the time and also the tank being recently filled. Kind regards Property Owner

It's comfortable, clean and well equipped. There was nothing we needed that wasn't provided. Great town with several beaches within walking distance and lots to entertain. The hosts are wonderful; could not fault them. They even went to the effort of adding epsom salts to the bathroom after finding out that we were doing a walk for charity. Fantastic people, great house and amazing location.

  • "Home from home."

Expected nothing else from a 4 bedroom detached house. 2 of the double bedrooms were a really good size and lovely, high comfortable beds. The leather settees were also a bonus for comfort. Another reason we chose this property. Would not choose anywhere that had small, cheap, holiday rental furniture. The quite large and very well kept enclosed garden was great for our dog. Also liked the private parking and area at the front. To be in the first line of houses off the main road was a real convenience. So close to walk down to the beach for doggy walks. Short walk into all the amenities and to the left the golf course 'Retreat' do a lovely Sunday lunch. The bus stop was a few yards along on the main road. A visit to Cragside at this time of year, if only to see the rhododendrons in full bloom was a real treat for us. Fortunately the weather was on our side. Drove up and left the rain behind us and had no rain until the Thursday night into Friday morning for our departure. What more could we ask for?

We also received a generous welcome pack. The garden is lovely and has a wonderful sea view and is also ideal for your pet Walking in the beautiful coastal scenery is an absolute tonic and the local businesses in Seahouses are great, really friendly place, we enjoyed good quality food from local shops and take away food from restaurants and take always and even a first meal at a local pub, since lockdown has started to ease We would love to come again !
