"We are in our seventies and my wife suffers from athritis in her knees especially, and I recently damaged my knee renovating our garage."
We found it hard to stand in the shower (we used the downstairs bedroom and bathroom) and found that a plastic chair would have been helpful to us both. We borrowed a chair from the kitchen to use in the bedroom as the chair in there was too low for us. Other than that we absolutely loved the cottage and everything was in the highest order. We would definitely like to stay again but fir longer. My sister in law used the bedroom upstairs and she was really pleased with everything and enjoyed her stay also. We would highly recommend your cottage to family and friends. Thank you, if the cottage was ours we would live there permanently!

"We had planned a family holiday here, but due to unforseen circumstances I ended up here alone with the pooch."
However, that didn't matter. The property was a delight. From the welcome gifts to the cosy lounge to the comfy bed to the wonderful bathroom. It was so nice to come back to after a day of exploring and had all I needed and more! Very well situated to be able to access local and further afield attractions. And so quiet and peaceful, with swifts swooping in the back and sheep bleating at the front. The contained areas really were great for the dog too. I plan to return, hopefully with the family next time, as they missed out on this fantastic place.

Resting in the charming hamlet of South Charlton near Alnwick in Northumberland, is this delightful stone cottage, Meadow View which is the perfect holiday destination for a family or small group of friends.
Inside, the property is immaculately presented, promising guests a restful stay.
The sitting room is wonderfully light and airy with polished wood flooring reflecting off the soft white walls.
Ample seating is arranged around an ornamental fireplace with windows boasting gorgeous country views; a spot where you can imagine gathering together to socialise, chill out or just zone out and watch TV.
Step into the attractive kitchen/diner and you are greeted with another really bright space with a feature vaulted ceiling with skylights adding to the feeling of light.

The attractive and historic market town of Alnwick is dominated by Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland. The Castle Gardens, opened in 2002, are home to Europe's largest cascading water feature, a fabulous (and enormous) treehouse, a delightful rose garden and a beautiful, walled ornamental garden, which will delight novice and experienced gardeners alike. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the Harry Potter films! The town's narrow streets have seen little change since the days when the London to Edinburgh stage coach passed through and the Market Place, with its stone cross, is still the central feature and the ideal venue for the weekly Saturday market. Alnwick offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and there is plenty to see and do, with miles of golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands all available nearby.
