The Lodge is really nice: clean, tidy, extremely well provisioned with everything you could wish for, and the “Get You Started” welcome tray was very generous. Thank you to the owner for her kindness, prompt communications and friendliness….. and she provided amazing weather! I can say no more other than we were totally delighted with our stay here. (I am somewhat reluctant that this review should be published as it will mean others will rush to stay here and so there will be no available vacancies for our intended return!)

The whole site was disappointing because of the speeding cars , people walking between lodges with no respect of privacy & the lack of dog bins or litter bins around the site . Kim the owner of 5he lodge could not have been more helpful just a shame the site owners could not follow her example

Thank you for your feedback. The site have started to address the speed issue and have made a start introducing speed ramps and 5 mile an hour. I agree that some people chose to walk in between lodges which is an ongoing battle thankfully 5 valley view tends to have less than others. The lodge was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the owner had left a welcome pack for us which was much appreciated. The lodge had lots of space and was very well equiped with games, dvd's and books. Both bedrooms had large walk in wardrobes with plenty of room for clothes, the shower we used was excellent with good water pressure. We found plenty of literature about Northumberland in the lodge which helped us to decide where to investigate each day. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, everything we needed during our stay was in there. There was ample parking, probably enough for four vehicles at the side of the lodge. The view from the lodge was excellent and the site as a whole was very quiet and well laid out with plenty of room between the lodges.

It was very comfortable, clean and contained everything we could possibly need for our stay. Including the welcome pack and complimentary toiletries in the bathroom was very welcome. There is also a very good provision for children with games and videos and even all essential items you might need for your pets. The only disappointment was that my husband thought he would be able to hire a set of golf clubs and maybe a buggy but when he enquired at the club he was told they didn't hire them out any more. Overall an excellent property and we would highly recommend.

Kim had left a welcome basket, much appreciated! The park is quite big, but this lodge is in a perfect position just on the edge of the way with the path at the side of the golf course. We saw roe deer, lots of ducks and birds. Really peaceful and relaxing. We recommend Nelson's in the park for a fabulous breakfast, lovely people there too, and the Running Fox do coffee and the most delicious cake. We were disappointed with Yam's Chinese restaurant in Alnwick but that might have been a one off. We went to Kielder Forest which was quite a long way but Alnwick, Amble and Seahouses are quite close. Kim is a lovely host and very helpful. We hope to return.

Althoigh on a holiday park, with some of the blinds down you could easily have believed you were in cabin on its own in the countryside. The view out on the golf course and the fields and trees beyond was fantastically picturesque and had the weather been nicer would have been perfect for an early evening drink on the veranda. The property was very clean and we'll supplied with facilities to help you cater for yourself and make the property truly feel like a home from home. The only recommendation I would make for more tech savy couples is to look at your data allowance options. There is an option to top up some Wi-Fi in the property but at £10 for 1 gig it doesn't stretch far. My phone company allowed me to double my monthly allowance to 20 gig for an extra £5 which proved a useful for Netflix when freeview didn't have any exciting options late at night. Situation wise you are within 15 minutes of two reasonable sized towns (Alnwick and Morpeth) for supplies or visits to local attractions and no more than 30 minutes from at least 10 coastal towns and villages which offer something for everyone (lovely walks, great food, clean beaches, historical sites etc).
