a lovely warm welcoming by pat and erica with home made goodies which were beautiful. it was warm and cosy and and plenty of space indoors and out doors for my two very active boys 3 and 5 years. the cottage has everything you need and more, pots pans and, towels and cleaning bits.. really is home from home. and so easy to relax and unwind, and enjoy the fabulous views, from every window! the garden is cosy and space for the boys to play with cars, footballs, and diggers. there's a beautiful grassed garden and lovely patio to take in more view if the trees mountains, the birds and deer. we visited a number of places during our stay, its situated in a great location for Edinburgh. with a short car ride to the train station, to Coldingham bay, white sands, and kelso and Jedburgh, and coldstream all highly recommended. I would highly recommend and will be booking again. my boys loved it, the 5 year old.. said 'best holiday ever, I loved the walk to the ricer and seeing the deers. ' the 3 year old 'I like the table not in the kitchen' when asked again he said he liked his big bed and fluffy pillows.' certainly everything you need for a few day or week to relax and unwind. special thanks to pat and erica. x

Spacious and clean cottage with wonderful views. This has to be best cottage I've stayed at, cannot fault it in any way. The cottage is fully equipped and feels like home from home. Owners, Pat and Erica, have put their hearts into this property and you feel it from moment you walk in, fresh baked bread and other treats, useful guides for oven, dishwasher etc, with flowers and real (not plastic) plants throughout. There is also plenty of wardrobe space for clothes as well as storage for food (so many places I've stayed and not had storage for food). Good value for money, was sad to leave.
