  • "We had a fabulous week at the Hideaway."

The property was spotless, comfortable and warm, and a perfect size for myself, my 12 yo daughter and our two cairn terriers. It was well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self-catering break. The owner, Paula, is very friendly and welcoming and kindly left lovely packs of goodies for the humans and for the doggies too. The location of the cottage is perfect. Belford itself has a few pubs, a coffee shop, a chippy and a co-op grocery store and Berwick-upon-Tweed, Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and Seahouses, are all less than 25 minutes drive away. We would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much for everything Paula, from Michelle, Lily, Dougal & Daisy, hope to see you again next year!

  • "My wife and I along with our 2 Springer Spaniels had an absolutely fantastic week at the Hideaway."

This was our first visit to Northumberland from North Wales. The property location was idealy situated for our winter break. The bus service with stops close to the property allowed us to easily explore the coast both north and south with ease. The weather was sub zero but dry during our stay. The property was lovely and cosy warm during this period. We would highly recommend the Hideaway. The welcome pack of daily essentials was a pleasant surprise and most appreciated. 5+ star rating from us.

Minor drawbacks are that parking is around the opposite side of the property to the access door, and that the occupant appears to have no control on when the heating comes on although you can shut down the radiators if on when you don’t need them.
