The cottage is warm, comfortable and perfectly located on the edge of town - it takes no more than ten minutes to get to the hills and just a couple of minutes to tbe high street for shops etc. However, this visit we combined a holiday with work only to find a note on arrival explaining that the internet was not working. Disaster! We absolutely had to have access to the internet on this trip. Both the agency and the owner of the property were really helpful trying to sort the problem. In the end it was discovered that the connection was mistakenly cut off by the suppliers and it was going to take two weeks to get it back on. On day two we were set up with a hot spot and a feed to the property next door. It wasn’t a perfect solution as we could only get a signal in the dining room. However, we have to give the owner 10 out of 10 for effort and we are extremely grateful for all the effort she went to on our behalf. We had a lovely holiday and got through a lot of work as well.

The property

A charming cottage in the Northumberland town of Wooler, the gateway to the Cheviot Hills.

Centrally located, this cottage offers cosy, comfortable accommodation.

With a choice of three bedrooms, and a bathroom with both bath and shower cubicle it makes an ideal setting for groups of families and friends of all ages.

The dining room is perfect for all your social gatherings, where you can enjoy a hearty Northumbrian supper or gather together for a round or two of Monopoly.

The cosy sitting room has large plump sofas which are perfect for curling upon after a hard day out on the hills, pour a glass of something special, sit back, relax and plan your next day’s activities.

To the rear of the cottage there is a small enclosed garden area with table and chairs, great for letting the doggies out for some fresh air.

The town of Wooler is a fantastic base with a great selection of pubs and restaurants to provide your evenings’ entertainment and as you are so centrally located everything is within walking distance.

The Cheviots foothills and the Northumberland National Park provide fantastic days out with walks and cycle routes to suit everyone.
