The property

This well-placed cottage rests in a quiet part of the historical market town of Wooler, Northumberland.

Within easy reach of the Northumberland National Park and Northumberland Coast AONB, as well as the Scottish borders, Thai Cottage is a perfect base for a small family or couple wishing to enjoy a variety of landscapes and a host of activities and adventure.

The property has private off-road parking and a yard with plenty of seating and a table for you to rest your morning coffee as you grab a bit of fresh air first thing.

Heading inside the property, you will be greeted by a lovely welcome pack, thoughtfully provided by the owner, along with freshly cut flowers, to brighten up your stay.

The kitchen/diner is nicely styled with grey tiles and sleek wooden units and has all the essential appliances you'll need during your stay, including a toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, so there's no need to worry about the washing up.

Cook up a delicious meal and serve it at the cosy dining table, as you make plans for the days ahead.

Following on from here, the ground-floor shower room has a contemporary metallic theme and a walk-in shower for you to prepare for each day.

The sitting room is carpeted and features a quirky, colourful rug and a warming electric fire, with a choice of two sofas, both placed in front of the fire, so you can get nice and toasty in an evening as you enjoy watching the TV or picking up one of the available books from the shelf below.

Upstairs are the two bedrooms, a generously sized twin with plenty of storage space in the form of a wardrobe and chest of drawers, plus a good-sized master double bedroom, again with lots of storage space, a TV and an overhead lamp if you want to bring a book up to bed with you.

Wooler is home to a selection of shops and pubs, just a short walking distance from the cottage.

It rests on the banks of the River Tweed, so you can enjoy a pretty riverside walk.

Known by locals as 'The Gateway to the Cheviots' the Northumberland National Park is within easy reach, where you can walk these incredible rolling hills on the Anglo-Scottish border and enjoy the incredible views on offer.

Head to the coast for excellent walking and cycling opportunities, as well as dramatic and spectacular coastline.

Head to well-known and imposing Bamburgh Castle, elevated above the beautiful sandy beach that's a lovely way to spend an afternoon, or head to Holy Island and its church, just a few miles from the coast, it can only be reached during low tide, and Farne Island is a great day out for seeing wildlife, such as puffins and seals and has its own lighthouse.

The market town of Alnwick is less than 30 minutes away by car; its famous castle is a must-see, often referred to as 'The Windsor of the North' and used as the location for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter film series.

Thai Cottage is the perfect base for a holiday full of discovery and adventure in this excellent Northumberland location.
