  • "We absolutely loved our stay here everything you could want was there with its very own little beach area with sun chairs it was october when we went and had some torrential rain but the views were amazing and to be in the hot tub with the moon glistening on the water was magical."

There was plenty of places nearby to go and visit or just sit and look out at the view with the ducks and swans comeing up to your lodge. Will be back next year.

  • "More attention needed for outside areas - an empty cider can full of cigarette butts was on the decking - a decking plank is poking up which is a trip hazard - hot tub had sand in it - saw this on previous reviews so contacted Sykes before we travelled to ensure hot tub was clean - this did not happen - the mat next to the hot tub dirty - furniture cushions were there which was good however it had rained most of the day before we arrived - no cover on the furniture and no cover anywhere to be seen - cushions were totally saturated with water - unusable - we contacted Sykes to tell them no cover available but no action was taken."

The Lodge itself was spotlessly clean and was of a high standard.

  • "Hello. We wanted to say that we had the most wonderful time, the place is absolutely stunning, and we were all blown away by how beautiful it was."

Just a little feedback, there were not enough mirrors, we could really have done with a big mirror in the bunk bed room, and the mirror in the twin room was far too small, and tinted glass don’t couldn’t use it anyway. And the second thing, the en-suite bathroom absolutely stank, of a horrible egg sewage type smell on the second day, and this smell came and went for about 24 hours. But neither of these stopped us having the best time, and loving the lodge! Thank you xxx

  • "Beautiful location overlooking the lake, with your very own beach and jetty."

Unfortunately the jetty was full of duck droppings and we had to ask for this to be cleaned before we could use it. The hot tube had quite a bit of sand which had settled on the bottom of it, we had to ask for this to be removed twice. Maintenance of the hot tub is poor, Previous parks we have stayed in, maintain the hot tub daily. Cushions for the outside furniture was also missing which made it quite uncomfortable. There was crumbs left in the bottom of the toaster which were quite obvious. Definitely needs to have some sort of dry mop or sweeping brush set to make it easier to maintain the wooden floors . Elderly person with us and we were concerned about a raised plank on the decking which was a trip hazard. There was also noticeable food marks on the ceiling in the kitchen and a shelf in the fridge which needed to be removed as it was not safe to use. We left the cabin exactly as we found it, as we had taken cleaning items with us, i would suggest that the cabin has basic cleaning solutions. We have had an amazing , wonderful, family quality time which was very relaxing in 1 Delamere Point. . We would like to visit the park again maybe in 2025.

  • "On the whole, the lodge was lovely, really big and spacious with all the amenities you would expect."

Great setting with fantastic views, too. The downside is that not all of the cushions are supplied for the outdoor furniture as shown in the images, so that is misleading and uncomfortable. Also, not the lodge owners' fault, but the park does not look after or maintain the hot tubs as it is described they will. It is in the information book that the hot tubs are maintained daily, but that is not the case at all! After 3 days of nobody coming, the hot tub became unusable. We told reception and they had to come and empty it and refill it. Making it unusable for a few hours. Nobody came again until the 6th day after we had to ask twice at reception for someone to check it before they eventually did around 6 hours later!

  • "What a beautiful place!"

The position, looking over the lake, with stunning views from the decking and hot tub is absolutely perfect. The inside is beautifully appointed and furnished, and has absolutely everything you could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our children adored the built in bunk beds! I had noted from a previous review that there were a few spiders, and so had expected to encounter a couple, but there were loads! Mostly on the outside of the chalet, but if the doors or windows were left open at all they also came in to enjoy the lovely interior. They were easily dealt with by my husband, or the vacuum cleaner, but I'd guess that the gorgeous countryside around the lake provides a haven for wildlife of all varieties, so you have to put up with a few spiders whilst enjoying the ducks, geese and swans! The proximity to Wild Shore was a bonus, we also brought a stand up paddle board and enjoyed the direct access from the private beach for time on the lake with the kids. Booking was simple, communication was great and we hope to stay again soon! Thank you!

  • "Good afternoon Whilst the lodge was beautifully situated unfortunately there were several issues which affected our stay some of which we raised whilst we were there."

The hot tub was set at too low a temperature which made it unusable,we got the maintenance man out but he was unable to fix the problem. We had booked this lodge because of the hot tub and feel that we paid for a facility we couldn't use. Also, there were no back cushions on the outside metal framed furniture,we complained and were told that previous guests had left them out in wet weather and they had been ruined. We would have expected that these would have been replaced as this meant we could not use the furniture as the metal back made it uncomfortable. This lodge was advertised as having an open fire but the fire was an electric one,we purchased logs which were unusable. Finally, whilst the lodge was mostly clean unfortunately the ceilings were full of cobwebs with numerous spiders, I had to get on a chair and hoover all the cobwebs myself, this is not what I expected to be doing on what was supposed to be a relaxing break. We paid a lot of money for what was not the experience it should have been. I have numerous photos if you wish to see them. I look forward to your swift response to what was a very disappointing experience Regards Mandy Smith,Amy Luck

  • "Absolutely stunning property."

No expense spared in a beautiful location. Best hot tub we’ve had by far, maintained daily with an amazing view of the lake. Little essentials box provided and all mod cons. Perfect getaway near lots of local things to do. Welcome pack had lots of suggestions for days out and places to eat. We don’t often find somewhere we would visit again but this is definitely the place, we loved it.

  • "The property is advertised with garden furniture this was a huge factor is us chosing this property so we could sit out and enjoy the scenery."

Once we had settled in after check in we found that the cushions for the outdoor furniture was locked away in outside storage. We called Reception who said they would speak to the owner, the next morning we had to call back as hadn't heard back from them to be told the owner was refusing to give the code. We were told to complain to skyes, we called spoke to a gentleman who said he would speak with owner and get back to us. My return call from skyes was 11am on the Monday after we had checked out. The Reception brought us some cushions from their furniture to use but half our holiday was already gone. It was just really dispointing as the property is beautiful and in such a beautiful location and we didn't really get to enjoy it as we would have liked.
