4 Customer Reviews

  • "Oak Barn is beautifully appointed, it really is a lovely barn conversion."

Camilla was a great host and replied to any questions immediately, she could not have been any more helpful. We would rate our stay as 5 out of 5 if the garden was secure. Unfortunately our dog couldn’t enjoy the garden as she would follow her nose through the fence into the next property or head to the farm house. This would probably stop us from returning especially in the coming months when it would be lovely to sit out in the garden. An extra couple of slats of wood would make it completely secure and prevent Mollys interest in the beautiful cats.

  • "The cottage is in a lovely quiet location although dark inside ."

Sitting and kitchen layout is good Lovely big tv .There were a few issues with maintenance Exterior door difficult to open and if you try to open the patio door it involves moving rugs etc Also there is a door leading out from the hall but this door is locked and no access via it if escape needed Toilet seats need securing/renewing Bath mixer tap needs attention There’s loads of pans oven trays utensils but the crockery is mismatched and quite a lot of it is chipped The bedrooms were good with the exception of the smaller twin room which lacked any where to store clothing and electrical point for charging phone or using hair straightener Think it would benefit from removing one bed and putting furniture in to facilitate clothes storage for guests Beautiful on suite shower room in main bedroom ,but quite impractical facilities in main bathroom ,beautiful bath but impractical for 4 guests using on a daily basis There was a hand held shower over bath but awkward to hold and wash There is no information pack regarding emergency numbers or local facilities or any manuals on how to use appliances washers TVs cooker etc We did have a good time very well situated for visiting places of interest etc but don’t think at this time it warrants a five star rating
