    We found it very comfortable for 4 adults. The dog-proof garden was a godsend, if there had been a way out our terriers would have found it! Mortimer Forest is fantastic for walks with the dogs and Ludlow is a lovely place to visit.

Settled near the River Teme in the historic town of Ludlow, is this characterful cottage, Round House.

This uniquely shaped property enjoys a convenient location in the town, with excellent amenities just paces away from the dwelling and is the perfect location for a family or four friends seeking a getaway.

Enter through double wooden gates to discover a delightful garden and a tarmac area to leave your car, as well as furniture to soak in the sun.

Step inside the little lobby where you can hang your coats and place your shoes away from the main rooms, ready for an adventure in nature.

Be welcomed into the charming sitting room, with featured dark blue walls and a crackling open-fire to set a rustic scene as well as a large TV with FreeSat to keep you entertained as you lounge on the sofa.

The sitting room is an open-plan layout, with a snug room included, for those who wish to curl up on an additional sofa with a compelling novel.

Rustle up heart-warming meals in the compact kitchen, where you can make use of the electric oven and hob and utilise the washer to keep your clothes fresh.

Stepping through the property, admire the wooden floors as you find the traditional dining room, with quirky décor to announce its 18th century character; here you can settle down around the table and tuck-into tasty meals.

The historic market town of Ludlow is situated on the River Teme, amidst the outstanding countryside of the Welsh Marches. With more than 500 listed buildings, the town provides a fascinating range of architecture including Ludlow Castle which is over 900 years old and is one of the first stone castles to be built in England. Today the castle is open all year round and hosts a wide range of events including outdoor theatre, food, art and literature festivals and many antique and art fairs. Below the castle, Millenium Green offers a large public riverside green and weir and provides excellent indoor and outdoor dining facilities via the Green Cafe located right on the riverside. Ludlow has held street markets since the twelfth century. Nowadays, a traditional open-air market takes place in the town square every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday throughout the year. More than forty stalls selling a range of goods including fresh produce, cheeses, books and a selection of local crafts are on offer with the 'Local to Ludlow' produce market some Thursdays and an Antique & Flea market some Sundays. Ludlow is also a gourmet’s paradise and a shopper’s dream. The town boasts many places to eat and drink, as well as a number of exclusive boutique style clothes and gift shops. Ludlow is within easy reach of Church Stretton, Shrewsbury and Hereford, as well as popular attractions such as World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge, Severn Valley Railway, Berrington Hall, Croft Castle and Cardingmill Valley.
