"Our only suggestion would be that the garden needs to be better maintained."
"This is our third stay at the little house."
and being near to Christmas was extra special. Ideally situated just a few minutes walk into Ludlow town centre which is full of history and interesting shops. The house is really comfortable and homely with every facility, necessity and comfort being catered for by the considerate owners. We will be back!!
"Great cottage in a great location."
Second time we've stayed here and it was as good as the first time. Lovely spot with a beautiful garden and view, plus comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and spotlessly clean.
"Loved the property."
Had everything we needed plus more. A lovely set up and really nice place to stay, would love to stay again! Thank you!
"Absolutely beautiful and in a prime location"
"A lovely property, in a perfect location for all of Ludlow’s amenities."
Would definitely stay here again, so that says it all really.
"The Little House is very well equipped, clean and comfortable."
It has a huge lawn, which our 18 month old grandson loved, and wonderful views. Great location - walking distance to the station, town, food shops, cafes and river so a car was not essential. Loved being in such a historical place.
"We had a really lovely stay here everything's been thought of would love to return again."
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Little House."
It had all the facilities you need and it's position close to lovely Ludlow can't be bettered. Great garden for the dogs and some lovely local walks. We certainly hope to return.
"We had a great stay at the little house the location is just a short walk from everything pubs cafes takeaways castle market river etc ."
The house has all you need and a nice welcome pack to start you of . a good garden where you can relax at the end of the day on the patio and watch the birds fly overhead bed comfortable. would like to go back sometime in the furture.
"We were delighted with the Little House - very comfortable and very liveable - we easily settled in and it felt like home for our week."
The welcome basket of bread, jam and biscuits along with the tea, coffee and sugar in house already was a very nice touch. We cooked most nights and didn’t find the kitchen lacking. We spent a lot of time enjoying the sunshine on the patio and in the garden - and the bi-fold doors really brought the outside in. The elderly lady next door was super friendly - we got the feeling she says hi to all her ‘new’ neighbours! The linen and towels were of excellent quality and we all found our respective beds very comfortable. We had a lovely time exploring Ludlow and the surrounding areas but it was genuinely lovely to return to our Little House. Only two wee niggles. No shaving point in the house so had to buy an adaptor to charge our toothbrushes and the extractor fan and shower head in the back en-suite need attention. I hasten to add, these did not spoil our holiday in any way. We would 100% use the Little House again if returning to Shropshire.
"This holiday property is the best we have been in, it has everything you could need for an excellent holiday."
I recommend it for anybody.
"Fabulous House !"
"Location was brilliant, really close to town centre and train station."
Cottage was very well kept and had a well equipped kitchen. Ample off street parking for 2/3 cars and a nice welcome pack of milk, biscuits and bread which was very welcome. Beds were also very comfortable and the bi-fold doors in kitchen / diner were fabulous and a lovely feature. View from the patio is great too. Only slight irritants were the mirrored cupboards in en-suite bathrooms which make it quite difficult to use the sinks, so replacing with just a mirror would make life easier. Grass was also a little long in the garden so a more regular cut would go down well. Otherwise a great cottage, a lovely stay and would definitely return.
"The Little House is a very nice property to stay in it has everything you need Plenty of space and very well presented ."
We all really enjoyed our holiday there including the dog who was welcome in many places. Plenty of great pubs and restaurants .
"Little House is a lovely place to stay, ideally located, and the owner is friendly and helpful."
It is one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in. This was our third visit.
"Lovely house, warm comfortable, with everything we needed."
Quality bedding and kitchen equipment, very clean. Great location
"Enjoyable stay, welcome hamper of milk, bread, jam and shortbread."
An abundance of kitchen utensils and quality tableware. A potato masher and a couple of serving spoons would of been handy. Beds and bedding clean and comfortable.
"Your directions to the property would only have worked if there was any agreement about where the "town centre" was to start."
We drove around for ages (in the dark!).Better if you started at the railway station. Also - we had trouble with the Key Safe. We kept trying 19588, when eventually we discovered it was 1958 B - obviously should have gone to Specsavers!
"The Little House,is not little at all, it is a lovely well appointed bungalow, it is roomy and very warm( we visited late November) with a very large enclosed garden ideal for our border Collie."
It is within walking district of the lovely town and market with 2 supermarkets also within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this property.
"Very pleased with Kevin the housekeeper."
Always available for help and advice. He responded to queries extremely quickly.
"High specification modern bungalow."
Located 5 minutes walk to town centre facilities, supermarkets and railway station. Parking for three medium sized cars. Large fully enclosed rear gardens with good views and external overlooking patio. Very warm and finished with all modern facilities. Jotul wood burner. Car charging point. Would definitely book again. Only criticism was we had to replace three broken electric bulbs. Two external and one internal.
"Amazing property and great condition, can’t think of anything that is actually missing."
Beds really comfy as well. Garden and view is fantastic, also lovely welcome pack
"We had a great week staying at The little House."
It met all our needs and was very clean and comfy. The location is ideal as it’s right in the town centre so easy to stroll in for a cup of coffee plus it was lovely being able to look onto Ludlow from the back of the property. Thank you.
"Fantastic house and Location , beautiful view over the Garden ."
Came here last year and everything is just as lovely as we remembered.Already looking forward to our next stay in 2023 hopefully!
"It fitted all of our requirements and made for a very pleasant stay - thanks!"
Well equipped, spotlessly clean, great views of sunset in lovely garden and location great.Thank you for a wonderful stay !
"Very clean and comfortable house."
Good location for Ludlow centre.
"Excellent property, fabulously furnished, exceptional view."
Wouldn’t hesitate to re-book ❤️ A real gem.
"Perfectly Placed Piece of Heaven !"
This is a charming , well maintained cottage just minutes away from the town and local supermarkets . Everything which you could need has been incorporated , and things you didn’t think you needed as well ! All the fittings were of the highest standard , with good quality linens and crockery . The bifold doors to the extensive garden were a blessing as we enjoyed hot weather (there is a useful fan in the downstairs storage area ) and our dog loved roaming around the fully enclosed garden . We would thoroughly recommend this property which is spotlessly clean and very well maintained to the highest standard . The neighbour in the adjacent is particularly helpful . The frontage of the property doesn’t do it justice ………walk through the front door before you form any opinion , you are in for a treat ! A helpful word of advice ….parking is a little tight and you pull out of the drive onto a road which is busy at the usual times . However, we worked out that by reversing into the drive , things were much easier ! A pleasure to spend time in this lovely cottage in a lovely area of the country .
"This was a lovely comfortable place to stay."
It was important to us to be able to have one bathroom per couple , we weren’t even slightly interested in the hot tub which so many properties offered. One bathroom for each bedroom was ideal. Everything was clean and comfortable , very comfortable beds and bed linen. Of all the sites investigated, I found Sykes was the best because it stated clearly what was available at each property.
"Had a fab time at Ludlow and the cottage all good."
the beds bit hard but slept well and on suits could be a bit bigger had to open door to stand at sink to shave. location for the town was great and the surrounding areas.
"Beautiful holiday home."
Well equipped, clean and very warm. Fab views over the countryside from the lovely bi fold doors. Sheltered patio table enabled us to sit outside even in April. Just a short walk into the town centre and just a few minutes to two supermarkets and the train station. Ludlow interesting and a great base for the beautiful Shropshire hills. Our only issue was that the instructions said that the house was on the right hand side whereas it was actually on the left !
"A clean, comfortable and modern property in a central location for all Ludlow has to offer."
The facilities and equipment were all of good quality and the bi-folds were great to extend the dining area when the weather was suitable! Overall a lovely dog friendly property and garden which we wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
"The 'Little House' was in an ideal location for Ludlow town centre, Restaurants and local walks."
The house was comfortable, warm and well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower in one of the en suites was not working, a spare part had been ordered. It would have been helpful to have been made aware of this on or before arrival. This en suite is very small. We had a an enjoyable stay at 'Little House', and would like to return in the future.
"Our second visit to Little House was as good as our first visit."
This holiday home is one of the best that we have stayed in, warm, comfortable and very well equipped. It is walking distance to all that Ludlow has to offer.
"Fantastic place to stay if your choosing to visit the lovely town of Ludlow."
The "Little House" if as far removed from little as you could imagine with plenty of room for guests with a large outside garden with beautiful views. The amenities within the property are first class and alongside the cleanliness made this for us an ideal stay, many thanks J and D
"The Little House was lovely with excellent space, furnishings and a wonderful kitchen."
The views from the garden are really special. We will definitely come again!
"A beautiful bungalow."
Clean, warm and modern. Excellent facilities and the underfloor heating was fab. The view of the garden and hills from the bifold doors was a bonus. Welcome basket treats too which were greatly appreciated. Easy walk into the town too. Lots of lovely shops and places to eat. Hope to return again.
"We enjoyed our stay very much."
Everything was first class and we are already planning a return visit. The standard of cleaning was particularly impressive.
"Beautiful clean, tidy, comfortable property."
Lots of kitchen equipment, really comfy bedding and beds. Great quality furnishing. A couple of minor suggestions; towels were a little small, larger ones would be great, bins in bedrooms/bathrooms would be useful, and the layout of the living area was a bit too cramped. We moved chairs down to the larger kitchen area to allow us to sit comfortably together. And finally, massive thanks to Kevin who allowed us a later checkout on the Sunday, without this, our weekend would not have been so successful!
"Excellent house, although a bungalow really spacious and fantastic it is detached."
Garden is massive. The house has everything you could possibly wish for and they really have thought of everything. Already booked for next year.
"We were very impressed with 'The Little House'."
Everything was of a very high standard and we would fully recommend booking this accommodation. It was very clean, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting at the dining table relaxing and enjoying the lovely view over the garden and hills and it was so convenient for the pubs and shops as well as some beautiful scenery and walks, not to forget the lovely castle.
"What a gem this holiday home is !"
Just a fantastic accommodation, garden, location ect. Love to revisit one day !
"This is a great location for exploring Ludlow avoiding steep climbs!"
Property is very well presented an comfortable and Ludlow is a great place to be! My only minor quibble is that, even in COVID times, I think that having to be out of the property by 9am on the last morning is a bit much especially when you are not able to access it until 4pm on the first day. Otherwise excellent!
"The Little Cottage in Ludlow is a hidden gem, the standard of the house is outstanding along with the quality of the furnishings that are provided."
The garden is fantastic especially if you have a dog as its large and enclosed and the bi folding doors are a great feature which makes the most of the garden and house together. The beds were large and had a really good quality mattresses which is very often lacking in properties to rent and made a huge difference to your sleep quality. Great house and area with lots to do would really recommend.
"Quality accommodation ina great location for the town."
No egg cups though.......
"Hardly a little house."
Lovely and peaceful and an ideal location for Ludlow and the surrounding areas. Excellent home at a high standard.
"Had a fabulous stay in the "little house" ludlow."
5 minutes and you can be at the train station, tesco's or town.So close yet so quiet! Parking for 3 cars easily then walked all week around the beautiful Shropshire hills. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to re book
"Lovely cottage, very well equipped and maintained."
In an ideal location for local shopping and amenities. Well kept garden. Lovely country walks nearby.
"Had a lovely weekend at the little house."
Beds comfy, walking distance to ludlow town centre and the castle, lovely garden and views across the shropshire hills. My only grumble is check out time is quite early at 9am.
"Without a doubt, the best self-catering house we have ever stayed in and we've stayed in a lot."
Location is first class with a 5 minute walk into town which was important to us plus spotlessly clean and high end furnishings with crockery by Sophia Conran and cutlery and glassware of exceptional quality. The garden was huge and completely enclosed which was perfect for our Labrador and each bedroom large and spacious with, effectively, a bathroom each as there are two en-suites and one main bathroom. Parking was easy and the neighbour was friendly when we saw him. Communication was made with the caretaker just once and issue resolved. Everything was just wonderful and I have been sharing the Sykes listing with family and friends. Ludlow itself never disappoints as the independent shops are fantastic plus the architecture and the general feel of the town is always upbeat even in these challenging times. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful property.
"One of the best houses we have stayed in."
Beautifully clean, very important in the times we are in. Very well furnished with good quality furnishings, lot's of kitchen equipment and good quality. Lovely views from the kItchen and dining room, looking out to a large well kept garden which is fully enclosed. Any one with a dog would have no worries. We are were left a hamper of basics, bread, milk, butter, jam, biscuits, very well received. The house is a five minute walk from Ludlow town centre, and lots of walks with ranging difficulties. We ate at The Clive Arms, and The Cafe on the Mill, down by the river. Both excellent food and staff that made you feel safe. Would stay here again without hesitation if we were in the area again. Just what we needed, Thank You.
"Extraordinarily clean property, very well equipped, loved the bi-fold doors and sitting in the kitchen looking out over the forest as the sun went down."
Very well located for a short walk to Ludlow, which we thoroughly enjoyed visiting. Would definitely return.
"The property was exactly as described."
It was clean and very well equipped. Everything was of a high specification and exactly what we wanted for our holiday. The property has beautiful views at the rear and the patio area gets the last of the sunshine. Overall we would recommend to anyone looking for a great property in a good location surrounded by lovely market towns with independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Parking is at a premium in Ludlow so it was appreciated with this property. We found wonderful restaurants within walking distance and a short drive away is the Ludlow Farm Shop/Clive Arms/Farm kitchen - a must for any visitor. Thank you
"What a lovely bungalow !"
. We had such a fab weekend everything you would need is there for you. Everything very high spec with was nice to live in . Loved Ludlow to. Definitely would return.
"Ludlow is a beautiful town and this property is conveniently located in a central position."
The Little House is a lovely place. Just right for 6 people. The facilities are good, we particularly appreciated the 3 bathrooms and big garden.
"Fantastic cottage, really well placed to explore."
Already booked to go back!
"A lovely well equipped cottage which exceeded our expectations on all fronts."
enjoyed Ludlow . will probably come again.
"Well appointed house in a great location for Ludlow and its surrounding attractions."
"Perfect location ,beautifully presented and equipped."
The Little house is cosy and comfortable with a large secure garden for the dog. The en suites were a little small for my largish husband and the bedroom needed to have a mirror nearer a plug for hair drying ......very minor niggles . Everything else was superb.
"Fantastic little house."
We stayed there with 4 x adults and 3 x 14 month old children. Loads of room and perfect open plan for the kids to enjoy. Would definitely use this property again. Would be even better in the summer with lovely garden too.
"Excellent location, spotlessly clean house with very comfortable beds."
Really would recommend The Little House in Ludlow. Excellent weekend in lovely historic Ludlow.
"Wonderful cottage in a superb location."
Fully equipped and done to a really high standard. It was excellent!
"Lovely house, really well furnished."
Lots of lovely touches. 5 min walk into the centre of Ludlow and also good countryside walks from the house. Parking good - we go 4 cars on the drive.
"A perfect house to stay in, new, clean, immaculate property with beautiful crockery and cutlery and comfy beds."
The directions mention the property is on the right, when it is actually on the left when driving from the town centre. Lovely gesture with bread, milk, butter and jam left out, would definitely recommend.
"The location was perfect for walking in to town."
The large enclosed garden was highly enjoyed by our dog. The fresh bread ,butter and milk left for us was a nice touch.
"The house was amazing and also very well presented."
Spotless in every detail and perfect for our family. The little touches such as bread, butter, jam and juice where well received and a welcoming touch, also the addition of washing liquid, basic condiments and dish and washing machine items. Would highly recommend and will also use again.
"A new property with very good facilities excellently situated for not only the local town but also a good base for visiting areas within the Welsh Marches."
One or too little glitches which could be improved for future use: Only one key available although the details said others would be in the house - this was not the case It was not very warm in the property and no means of bringing on the radiators even the towel rail radiators in the bathrooms No shaver plugs in any of the bathrooms which meant we had to go and buy an adaptor plug. However the house generally felt very welcoming and the enclosed garden was ideal for a small dog to have some freedom after spending a day visiting in a car or on a lead.
"This is definitely one of the best holiday homes we've stayed in and the location is perfect for walking into Ludlow and exploring the town."
Everything about the Little House is fantastic - spacious, spotlessly clean, equipped with everything you need, beautifully furnished and with a fantastic outlook from the back garden. We really enjoyed sitting with the patio doors open on an evening and taking in the view over to the hills beyond. One of the few holiday homes that we all said we can't wait to return to. Thank you to the owner and manager for a fantastic and very relaxing few days! Please note: Sykes was not the most helpful with my booking - I received no email confirmation of my booking (despite receiving this email from the company to review the holiday after returning home, which seems quite strange...). I contacted Sykes to ask for confirmation and was told I would receive full details in the post but I never received anything - I'm now back from holiday and still nothing in the post... I managed to get all the info in the end by setting up an account and making some extra phone calls. Not the first time I've had trouble with Sykes. Luckily, this didn't spoil the holiday, but it does make me wonder about Sykes' system of communicating with their customers.
