  • "Great house , very clean and comfortable."

Lots of room in the bedrooms. Loved how the back opened up onto the garden Very well equipped in the kitchen , although a larger fridge would have been useful Owner responded to query and was extremely helpful Relaxing stay on a very very hot weekend

.. the need to reverse was a bit challenging....but I guess that mentioning it might put people off/

  • "Lovely property, very well maintained and very comfortable."

Very handy for a day's shopping in Derby or a stroll around Ashbourne. Unfortunately we were only there for a long weekend and therefore had to choose between trips out and relaxing in the sun trap of a rear garden. Overall a very enjoyable break.

  • "We had such a lovely stay at field view house and couldn’t recommend it enough!"

! Spacious enough for two families yet cosy, especially on evenings. The master room was amazing! And it was gorgeous having the bifold doors open and watching the kids play in the garden. The owners went the extra mile with cake and eggs on arrival and helped us with an additional request, thank you so much!!

  • "Lovely quiet cottage."

There are views of the countryside from all the bedrooms and the master suite is huge. We enjoyed sitting in the garden with a drink on some days looking out over the fields and bbq’d our steaks

  • "A lovely property with everything you would need situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac."

We hired the property for a family reunion to celebrate my son's 40th birthday and my 70th. Our stay at Field View was very comfortable with clean bedding and towels supplied and a surprise welcome pack in the kitchen which was much appreciated.

  • "We loved staying at Fieldview House!"

We loved the cosy living room and all the upstairs bedrooms especially. It was wonderful to be right at the edge of the field where sheep were grazing. We would have welcomed the option of curtains/ blinds in the kitchen and dining room space for extra privacy however, it was a perfect spot to watch the sunrise in the mornings. Thanks so much for having us and being such a helpful and responsive host!

The views where spectacular which we loved waking up to each morning. Having booked many cottages on Sykes, this one was by far the best. We will definitely be returning, the owners are lovely too which is always an added bonus. Don’t hesitate, book your stay at Fieldview house. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you for an amazing stay. See you again very soon. Jen & Family x

The house owner was so accommodating and friendly. She set up decorations for me that I sent her. She had left some prosecco and treats for the party too. The house had lovely views and the boys loved it! Will definitely be booking this house again in the future.

It had huge master bedroom with a wonderful view. The view over the fields from the sitting room was also beautiful. The house is in a very nice village and we went on some lovely walks and watched the local cricket team each weekend.

  • "We had a wonderful visit to the Southern Peak district and Fairview House was a perfect base for our stay."

The house is modern and well equipped with brand new bathrooms and oven/ appliances. The views were beautiful, the master bedroom was huge and all the upstairs facilities met the spec. Our only disappointment was the fourth bedroom, which had a hospital bed and was much smaller than expected. We felt that this should be described or a picture of all rooms be in the listing. The owner was extremely helpful and resolved issues for us, providing extra comfortable bedding for the fourth bed. All in a wonderful holiday

  • "We have never stayed in such a comfortable and well equipped holiday rental."

It has everything you need and the appliances are all of a high quality. The bedrooms are all good sized and the beds are comfortable. It was such a nice touch that the cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas for us. We will definitely return to this cottage if we come back to the area.

  • "We arrived to find a lovely welcome pack and flowers which was a lovely touch."

The house was spotless and very well equipped. All the rooms were a good size, we had 2 babies in our party so needed space for 2 travel cots+ Kitchen was amazing, everything we needed, mind we didn't do much cooking just for the children We were very lucky to have some fantastic weather to we made the most of the lovely garden. Well equipped with comfortable furniture and sun parasol. The garden was very child friendly too, the babies loved watching the cows & sheep in the field. We go away annually as 3 families and its always quite difficult to find the perfect accommodation but this was absolutely perfect :)

Perfect location for exploring Derbyshire and for family arriving at East Midlands Airport. The house is very comfortable, well equipped and rooms very spacious. We enjoyed using the BBQ and eating outside with the lovely view. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were perfect for my elderly grandmother. The welcome pack was a lovely bonus. All the family enjoyed our time away. Would recommend Field View House to friends and family. We hope to visit again in the future.

Fresh flowers, homemade cake, bottle of wine, fresh milk and eggs from a local farm, even providing some dishwasher tablets, I could go on and on... We had a great time and will definitely book again!
