"Hit and miss - Sykes made a errors and told the hosts the booking had been cancelled when in fact it hadn’t, so we turned up at the surprise of the hosts who hadn’t prepared the property."
The hosts asked us to come back in 2 hrs so we had to go and find something to do for the 10 of us (including children). Hosts did offer to pay for a meal for us while we waited, an offer we did not take. Sykes has also misdescribed the property as it listed a room with 2 single beds when in fact there wasn’t. This messed up our sleeping arrangements which resulted in some people having to use a sofa bed. An extra single bed was put up for us but not worth sleeping on as the mattress was really old and springy. Overall not the best experience as the property was not cleaned to the stranded expected and the sleeping arrangements were messed up. Hosts tried their best to accommodate us and offered a free treatment (which I took in the floating pod) and a late check out on the day of exit.
