  • "The owner is a lovely lady and she was very welcoming when we arrived and left."

The property reminds me of a student flat mixed with a converted garage as it was very small but it served the purpose for us which was a place to stay close to Nottingham where we went to explore. It's also got a beautiful park around 5 minutes away which we explored on the first night there. The kitchenette could do with either a multi cooker or hob though unless you are ok with just sandwiches or a slow cooker meal as it changed our plans for meals when here as I didn't realise there would be no hob. The shower tray had recently been fixed according to the owner but the water did not run off very quickly so you were stood in a pool while showering but otherwise it's what is expected of a small ensuite bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay here as we're very adaptable people so thank you.

Thankyou for your response sorry there is not room for a cooker but there is a microwave forman grill and toaster. I have taken it off the market again to get the plumber back to see to the new shower hoping that will be fixed this week. Property Owner

  • "Lovely little accommodation."

Very comfortable bed and adequate kitchen area for the time we were there. Parking virtually next to the accommodation but with a couple of steps which are illuminated by the security light when its dark. Bread, biscuits and tea/coffee etc were all there and waiting. Brief chat with the owners when arriving to make sure we were all OK made us feel welcomed. There is a pub literally 2 minutes walk from here which unfortunately we left to late to book a table for a meal, but it is meant to be superb. Would happily stay here again

  • "Tiny, but lovely, little cottage with dedicated parking space."

We chose it for the convenience of places in the area we wished to visit. Great hospitality from our hosts. We arrived to find the fridge and cupboard stocked with milk, butter, cornflakes, bread, tea, coffee, sugar and even a packet of biscuits!! No need to bring washing up liquid or toiletries. They're already there.... And we were supplied with fresh towels and clean tea towel mid week..

  • "My husband and I enjoyed our extended stay and couldn't fault the hospitality of the owners, Pauline and Rod."

They are very welcoming and laid back and are there if needed, or will allow privacy if preferred. Kissingate is an ideal location for sightseeing as there is so much to see and do. It is in a beautiful location, near the stream at the Jug and Glass where you can just sit and enjoy the world go by or enjoy a meal there. There are also nearby eateries that serve good food, including The Gate and the Lemon Tree. If you enjoy walking, this is the perfect base to explore the countryside along the Archaeological Way and Poulter Wood. You won't be disappointed!

  • "The owners did a fantastic job looking after us in many ways."

Couldn't fault a thing. Everything exceeded our expectations and we had a really comfortable time. I'm sure they tinkered with the weather, as forecast was poor but was actually perfect. Will likely be up again next year to do the Outlaw Half Triathlon at Holme Pierrepont once again but quicker!
