The property

Nestled in the heart of the village of Kiveton Park, a stone's throw away from the vibrant city of Sheffield, rests this remarkable holiday home, Bumble Bee.

Set over three floors and comfortably sleeping up to 11 guests, Bumble Bee makes for a wonderful base to explore the delights of South Yorkshire and the nearby Peak District National Park.

A private driveway greets you at the foot of this lovely dwelling, making loading and unloading an easy task, leading you over the threshold and into your marvellous home-from-home for the duration of your trip.

Kick off your shoes and venture through to the sitting room to put your feet up with a seat on the sumptuous sofa following a day full of adventure, or follow the hallway through to the open-plan kitchen/diner tucked away at the rear of the property to prepare some tasty treats for the group, utilising the range of modern amenities provided; there's even a handy dishwasher so there's no time wasted doing the washing up!

Gather around the dining table taking centre stage in the sociable space to indulge in the fruits of your labour, or if you're lucky enough to experience the warmer weather, step through the patio doors for a spot of alfresco dining in the peaceful setting of your garden.

Share a bottle of wine with your significant other in the summer house, beautifully appointed with a nautical décor and providing a lovely spot to enjoy your favourite tipple whatever the weather, or end the day in style with a seat in the bubbling hot tub.

When sleep calls, climb the stairs to the first floor where you'll find five bedrooms, an intimate child's single room alongside four doubles, two of which benefit from their own en-suite shower room, ideal for larger groups.

A short walk from your doorstep will bring you to a fantastic array of local amenities; indulge in a bite to eat at The Duke of Leeds, set in a former coaching inn, prepare your vocal cords with a drink at the Lamp & Pony Pub before partaking in a sing-song on the karaoke, or pick up a takeaway at the Hard Lane Fish Bar.

Get better acquainted with your surroundings and follow the Trans Pennine Trail as it travels coast-to-coast, or catch the train from Kiveton to the nearby market town of Chesterfield and traverse the Cuckoo Way alongside the Chesterfield Canal.

The Peak District National Park is within easy reach, boasting a plethora of walking, cycling and hiking routes through varying terrains and landscapes; hike to the summit of Kinder Scout, the tallest peak in the area, or for a more accessible route, the Kiveton Community Woodland is on your doorstep.

Kiveton Park is a lively village set within the Borough of Rotherham, in South Yorkshire. Kiveton was once an important part of a thriving coal industry, however today is mainly used as a commuter base for adjacent towns. Within the village there are a choice of amenities, including a pub, convenience store, a number of restaurants and takeaways, a skatepark and a community woodland, providing a vast array of habitats including woodland, grassland and wetland. The nearby town of Rotherham provides a greater selection of amenities, including the Magna Science Adventure Centre and Clifton Park Museum, while the vibrant city of Sheffield has plenty to see.
