Myself, my wife and two children stayed at Acton Hill Barn recently and it was honestly the best experience we’ve ever had booking independent accommodation in the uk. The place is utterly breathtaking. The barn itself is ginormous and the west wing where the accommodation is situated is split over two levels and beautifully appointed with a lounge area, full kitchen, family bathroom and two spacious bedrooms, one of which has an additional lounge area as well! All fixtures snd furnishings are of a very high standard and everything is just immaculately kept. The benefit of having the hot tub situated in their gorgeous courtyard was brilliant as well and the views across the land from there are lovely. Stuart and Angela honestly couldn’t do enough for us and are on site most the time. Attentive enough yet discreet, they are the most perfect hosts you can imagine. We availed of the alpaca walking experience whilst there and it was honestly the most spectacular experience. Such docile, curious and friendly animals and Stuart and Angela did a great job of explaining the day to day work they do on the farm there and how they came to have such a passion for all things Alpaca! A really unique and special experience for us as a family. We will absolutely be returning, this must be one of the best kept secrets in the UK right now in terms of the overall delivery of an amazing accommodation coupled with the alpaca experiences available.
