  • "The property was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable."

It was well equipped with everything that you might need. The boundaries were secure - our 5kg JRT didn't find a way to escape! It was also quiet and private which is helpful if you have a dog reactive to passers by and noise. A great base for exploring the area.

The cottage was so clean and tidy and had everything we needed. The set up of the cottage is clearly well thought through and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog as well. We will definitely be booking again in the future, thank you!

  • "Nicely situated for all walks and places to see."

The garden was perfect for our dog and is all fenced in. Wild flower meadow was good for morning walk. The Sun hit the patio most of the day. The lodge is very comfortable with plenty of room for 2 people and a dog. We met the owner who was very pleasant and it was interesting how the Lodge was built. Would certainly recommend.

  • "A really nice well kept modern property with all the facilities you need."

A stones through away for Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury Prison and the local farm shop/cafe and falconry are worth a visit. I didn’t meet the owners because I had no issues. My only comment is that an ironing board and iron would of been useful but certainly not a criticism. I think someone mentioned previously that they had issues working the kitchen hob but I had none and there are booklets in the lodge with all the instructions. I would highly recommend this property and I will certainly visit again.

Spotlessly clean. Comfortable and extremely cosy. Pots and pans were top notch, this in my experience is not the norm. The owners Steff and Rob provided a welcome pack, decorated for Christmas and made our stay very special. The quality of the fixtures and fittings were exceptional. We would like to come back in the spring or summer and take as ay of the garden and the surrounding area. All in all a very special stay.

The property was really clean and well looked after, and the owners were fantastic. We received a text in the morning to say the lodge was ready earlier than expected and we were rushed in a check out time either. We would certainly rebook this property again.

  • "We had a lovely time a this gorgeous cottage near Shrewsbury."

Very quiet & countrified even though only minutes away from shops & civilisation. Very clean, spacious & well equipped. Very comfortable bed & lovely shower. Excellent location with plenty to do in the area. The internet signal was not particularly strong but this was discussed with owners. Will certainly go back in the future preferably summer months when we would be able to make more use of the pretty little garden. Well recommended.

Thank you for the feedback, we have fitted a Wifi booster which has improved the signal. Property Owner

Very clean and beautifully built! Would highly recommend. The only issue we had was the internet connection was very poor and we were unable to watch Netflix or catch up tv as it would not load. Other than that we would definitely come back.

  • "We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed being in this cottage."

We played golf at Hawkstone Park and ate out at a couple of local pubs. We also cooked in the cottage and the oven was more than adequate but the hob was difficult to use - this has been common in the four cottages that we have stayed in during the last year. The cottage is well furnished and cosy in the Autumn evenings. I would definitely recommend this cottage as t is well located for sightseeing in Shropshire.

  • "Primrose Lodge ideal for dog owners."

Private enclosed garden and flower field on doorstep for the last walk of the day for the dog. The place was lovely and clean and everything that you may need was supplied. Only bug bear, athough you are not overlooked, was there were no curtains in the main living/kitchen area and would have been nice to close them on the dark evenings. Apart from that would definitely recommend.

  • "Primrose Lodge is a very lovely place and we had a great week."

The Lodge and garden itself are one of the best we’ve stayed in and definitely the best for cleanliness. It was stylish, spacious, comfortable and gleaming. The garden was lovely for us and safe for our dog , although I would mention that the gate may not be totally dog proof , if you have an energetic little dog like ours.( no roads to get onto directly though). The garden views from the window are very lovely and relaxing but there are no curtains in the lounge/kitchen area to cosy things up in the dark evenings. As this is their first Autumn /Winter I think this will be addressed in the future. Also a couple of rugs in the bedroom would be great for the colder months. If you like to cook from scratch , even on holiday like us ,you will be disappointed with the oven .Unlike everything else in the lodge it isn’t of very good quality

All you could need in equipment within the property. The bathroom was excellent - a fantastic shower with lovely fluffy towels provided. The location is perfect for so many different tourist attractions - including Shrewsbury itself. Several National Trust and English Heritage properties. Several walks in the area that are not just for the young and fit - Including Onny Meadows, Stanmore Country Park, Battlefield Heritage Walk, LLanmynach Heritage Trail, Stiperstones.etc A wonderful week in which we couldn't fit everything in - so we will just have to go back again!

  • "Primrose Lodge is modern, clean and well equipped."

It is unusual to find things like salt, pepper, oil for cooking and cleaning stuff - so pleased to see Robert and Steph have thought about their guests. We were able to use the Park & Ride, just 5 minutes from the door, to gain access to Shrewsbury centre at £2 per person for all day. There is so much to see and do there - we would recommend visiting the Prison and taking the 2 hour guided tour. Also the Quarry is a beautiful park between the town and river where there are walkways, play equipment for children and a host of places nearby to eat and drink. Overall a great place to stay.

You've everything you need including a private garden and off road parking. everything was clean and comfortable, if your really picky the wifi threw a wobbler now and then, but not too bad, Not an awful lot of hostelries in the immediate location, and well advised to book in Shrewsbury, busy place (Le Dolce Vita top class restaurant). good base for Ironbridge and Black Country living Museum, Bridgnorth is a gem

When we arrived, the lodge was set back from the road and the setting was perfect. It’s extremely clean and has all the facilities you expect and more. It is a very relaxing place and has very good feel about it. We met the owners a few days in and they are extremely friendly and I applaud his hard work building the lodge. Without question this gets a 5* from me, we will visit again.

  • "We had the most amazing stay at Primrose Lodge."

The lodge was extremely tidy on arrival and nestled away with an enclosed garden which was very important us. Before we arrived the lodge owners had moved the gate down for us as we had taken our puppy. We thought this very kind and thoughtful of them. The lodge is very well equipped and we found the local area information folder very useful with local pubs, walks and places to visit. We went for our honeymoon and when we arrive we found a wonderful welcome basket of goodies and card from the owners (Rob & Stef) congratulating us. We found this a nice personal touch. We met the lodge owners Stef and Rob whilst walking around their amazing flowers fields. They were very welcoming and friendly. They were eager to ask for feedback which I loved as it showed us they really cared. We will be definitely staying here again in the future
