  • "The only suggestions I have are the stairs are quite steep so a safety gate for little ones would be good and some lubrication on a couple of door hinges."

    Everything else is great.

  • "We absolutely loved the house."

It’s got absolutely everything you could possibly need and more! The space was perfect for six of us (2 adults, 4 children) but you could accommodate 4 adult couples very comfortably (though there would be a fight for the master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and en-suite!). The two lounges gave us plenty of space to spread out, which was a huge help as the weather was rubbish, and the PlayStation was very much enjoyed! The kitchen is beautiful, it’s a lovely social space for cooking and chatting, and the utility room was an added bonus! The outside space is absolutely lovely as well, we just wish we’d had more opportunity to use it! If we had one (tiny) criticism, it’s the fact it’s not clear in the listing that the house is next to a main road and we did hear the traffic for the first couple of days (we had a very light sleeper with us) but once we got used to it, the noise wasn’t an issue and it certainly wouldn’t put us off booking again if we ever come back to Leek. There is so much to do in the area, the house is about quarter of an hour’s drive from the Roaches (stunning for a walk), Buxton is only half an hour away and there are lots of local National Trust places like Biddulph Grange and Little Moreton Hall which are really great for a day out. We had a great week, despite awful weather and would very much recommend the property! If we are ever visiting the again we would love to come back!

Thank you for the lovely feedback. Hope to welcome you back again soon. Property Owner

  • "Highfields House is an excellent, very 'high spec' holiday accommodation."

Very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. Owner, really friendly. The location is great for exploring Staffordshire Moorlands/White Peak District. It will be a great shame if this property decides to allow pets as furniture/floors are in perfect condition and free of pet dust, hairs and smell!

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback. We are reconsidering the pets after talking with you. Hope to welcome you back again. Property Owner

  • "Highfield House is an amazing place to stay."

It is beautifully furnished and decorated and has everything you could need. We didn’t want to leave! The accommodation made our special family birthday celebration magical. Karen and Andy are fantastic hosts, checking to see that we were settling in ok and Andy very kindly came to ‘dig us out’ after the snowfall we had. Many thanks for the extra treats left for us too. We will certainly be returning and will recommend Highfield House to family and friends. Angela and Kevin

  • "We really loved staying at Highfield House - it's the perfect home for a get away."

Located at the edge of the Peak District we had access to Leek and lovely walks. Despite the weather we enjoyed our stay around the fireplace and the entertainment facilities. The kitchen was very well equipped and we could cater easily for the whole family. Everything was very clean and had a lovely and homely finish. And to find a welcome pack (biscuits for the kids, prosecco for the grwon ups) was a nice touch too. Thank you again for everything!

Thank you Christian for the great feedback, so glad you all had a lovely time. Hope to welcome you back another time. Property Owner

  • "Our stay at Highfield House far exceeded our expectations."

The house is stunning ... a really beautiful, family home. The decor and furnishings are very high end, as are the many facilities, gadgets and appliances the house has to offer. The attention to detail is amazing, and nothing has been overlooked. We literally had everything we needed during our time there ... except perhaps the weather! But the house was so snug, cozy and well equipped, even that didn't matter. We loved the nearby town of Leek, along with many other different places to visit within very easy reach. I would not hesitate to recommend Highfield House to any prospective visitor. When our stay was over, we didn’t want to leave! And we simply can't wait to go back!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! So happy you enjoyed Highfield House and the surrounding area. Hoping to welcome you again. Property Owner

The mix of country style and modern furnishings is lovely and absolutely stylish. The garden and the outdoor area are also magnificent. In addition, it is nestled in a fantastically beautiful landscape and not far from attractive shopping facilities. We can recommend it wholeheartedly!
