"Wonderful property."
We really enjoyed our stay. We booked as we have family living in Wem, and this will now be our go-to for when we visit. We've already told other locals to recommend it to friends and family if they dont have a spare room!
-
"We were so pleased with the high standard of the lodge."
Spotless, well equipped, comfortable and a great location. The owners were always available if needed but not at all intrusive. Perfect location to visit surrounding areas.

"We had a lovely week."
The lodge was clean and comfortable. Hosts Paul and Jo were brilliant and there were lots of things such as puzzles and fleecy blankets that made it feel homely. Would happily recommend.

"We had a wonderful stay at Mayfields lodge."
It had everything we needed, really cosy and comfortable. It's the first place we've stayed that had fans!!, and they were very much appreciated for the week we stayed. It was very clean and immaculate. The owners were lovely, and on hand if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend a stay at this lovely lodge in a beautiful rural location...perfect!!!.

"It's not the first time we've stayed at this place and it's for a reason."
The house is very new, the beds are comfortable and it has all the facilities. We did miss a washing machine but otherwise it is fully equipped.

We will definitely return.

"We had a fabulous few days at the lodge during October half term."
It was welcoming, warm and comfortable, and we arrived to a lemon cake, milk and lots of tea and coffee supplies. Good beds, plenty of space and a very well equipped kitchen. The whole place was really clean and it was a great base for us exploring the area. We would certainly consider staying again.
-

"We had such a lovely holiday at Mayfields Lodge, Jo, Paul and Josh were so welcoming and our 3yr old son had loads of fun playing with Josh on his trampoline!"
The lodge was spotless and well equipped with a beautiful sunset over the fields every night and plenty of space to run around. There was plenty to do with Telford and Shrewsbury close by, Park Hall Farm and Ironbridge were also particular highlights. Would definitely recommend to families with young children.
-
"A beautiful wooden lodge in a quiet location with a huge garden and views over open fields."
The property is ultra comfortable and cosy with lots of character and everything you could need. A great base for exploring Shropshire with Shrewsbury a 15 minute drive away and Ironbridge Gorge and the Long Mynd all easily reachable too. A lovely spot for a break.

"Very nice cabin/lodge,very well equipped."
Very peaceful day and night.

"We had the most fantastic stay at Mayfields Lodge - Ian returning to his childhood home made the holiday!"
The Lodge is extremely well equipped and had everything we could have asked for - with a brilliant shower (one of my key criteria when staying somewhere!!). Jo, Paul & Josh were excellent hosts and were happy to listen to my reminiscing about my childhood on the farm. Great places to eat locally, The Tilley Raven, Bull & Dog and Dickin Arms at Loppington - you will be spoilt for choice. A couple of days out at Attingham Park and Powis Castle added to the enjoyment of the break A fantastic week that we would thoroughly recommend for getting away from it all, unwinding and refreshing the batteries.

"Mayfield Lodge is a lovely, well equipped, clean, spacious 2 bed cottage in a lovely quiet rural location."
It had everything we required and we were really pleased. It's very near to Wem and easily commutable in to Shrewsbury and Telford. Because of its good position, it's easy to get out and about to nearby attractions. Our son is almost 5 and he loved the days out at Hoo Farm zoo in Telford and Park Hall which was also fun and interesting. We have previously been to the area and visited Wonderland in Telford, which he also thoroughly enjoyed and we have had great walks at Attingham Park. Overall there's loads to do in the whole area, nice towns to visit, great scenery and a relaxed feel.

"My partner and I stayed here for 7 nights to relax during half-term and we had an absolutely lovely time."
The place was spotless on arrival, the heating was on and we were met with smiles and advice on where to get our food shop/go to eat. The kitchen is EXTREMELY well equipped (perhaps better than the one at home!), even going as far as cheese graters, pots, pans, utensils, jugs etc. The beds were really comfortable and the smart TV and games in the living room supplied us with a lot of laughs & entertainment. All in all a fabulous stay, will definitely be returning
-
"The owners, Jo and Paul were so helpful in making our stay with our disabled daughter so much more manageable."
Big thank you
-
"Mayfields Lodge was one of the very best places we have ever rented."
It was carefully designed to be comfortable and cosy. The kitchen/dining/living area was suprisingly generous in size. The kitchen was extremeley well equipped and spotless - as was everywhere else. The outlook is lovely with surrounding fields and very peaceful. The owners live close by and were delightful and checked to see if we needed anything but we never did. We are seriously considering going again.
-
"We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday."
The place was exceptional and the quality of everything in the cabin was of very good quality, it was very comfortable and the beds were the best we've ever slept in. Our hosts Paul//Joe were very nice indeed. We really loved staying there.

"A lovely lodge, paul and jo were excellent and couldn’t do enough for us to ensure we had a great holiday."
-
"This was our first 'proper' holiday (post-Covid) with our ten month old son, and we had such a good time here!"
The Lodge is so well equipped and comfortably furnished, providing a high chair and cot for the baby. He loved the huge expanse of grass to crawl around on, and the inside of the Lodge was safe for him to explore. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and more, including everything for a really good BBQ outside with family one day. We had a brilliantly relaxing time and would definitely recommend to couples or families.
-
"Great hosts."
No issue with travel cot or high chair. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Spotless and amazing outside space. Great base for seeing Shropshire.
-
"The lodge was larger than antisipated, spotlessly clean, quiet, extremely well equiped (Kitchen) comfortable beds and sofa."
Very warm central heating system. The cream scones on arrival baked by Jo were delicious. There is so much to see in the surrounding area. The hosts looked after us really well, finding me extra freezer space and suggesting eating places and places to visit, nothing was too much trouble. We would stay here again.

"We were very comfortable at Mayfields Lodge."
A very warm welcome from the owners who were very helpful throughout the week. The Lodge is very convenient for cycling around quiet country lanes with very few hills. The railway station at Wem is also convenient for a day out to Shrewsbury, Welshpool or further afield. We hope to return to stay at the Lodge.

"Paul and jo we're amazing hosts they have thought of everything you could possibly ever need."
Upon arrival we had tea, sugar and coffee and milk in the fridge. Fresh homemade scones with pots of jam and fresh cream in the fridge and even a bottle of local wine chilled. The lodge was stunning set in beautiful surroundings, plenty of outdoor space and beautiful views. Very child friendly with games and dvds to occupy them. We found the lodge easily accessible for a wheelchair as only one step to get on the decking then all on the level throughout the lodge.
