  • "We booked this at the last minute after health issues meant we couldn't fly to our booked holiday."

In an internet glitch at a time of great stress the wrong date was clicked and this booking was made instead of the following week. Despite no cost to them and no extra cleaning and an empty flat, just a later arrival, the owners offered no flexibility or understanding so we paid a full week for nothing. Double the cost. The other holiday company were compassionate, kind and sympathetic. The owners here were unhelpful at a difficult time. The property was ok when we got there.

  • "Lovely quiet and comfortable apartment."

Gated parking.Wonderful treats on arrival. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely living space - even had TV in the bathroom. Ground floor apartment for less mobile guests- not applicable to us. A short walk into the centre of Shrewsbury though not a scenic route. Will definitely be back. Thank you Julie and Mark

  • "The flat is finished and furnished to a very high standard."

Extremely good heat and sound insulation, very comfortable beds, two full bathrooms, each with a walk-in shower. There is only a single sofa, however, which might be an issue for some groups although bedrooms have their own smart TVs. Very fast broadband. Location is 5 minutes walk from the edge of old town, 15 minutes from the centre. There is much to see and do there.

  • "Beautifully furnished apartment with everything you need for a city break."

The owners have thought of everything in terms of self-catering provision and the apartment is fairly new and fitted/furnished out to a very high standard. You can walk into Shrewsbury town centre (it’s not a picturesque walk but only 5 mins or so) and the town has lots to offer. Albury Place is next to a car garage so it got quite busy with cars at the car park entrance so we were pleased we only had to use the car a couple of times to visit further afield. Overall a lovely 4 days and perfect for being in a great location for visiting Shrewsbury town.

  • "We had a fantastic stay here , everything was perfect!"

The apartment was spotless , with every comfort provided: nice touches of cake/biscuits/beer too. All in all a wonderful luxurious break. We will definitely be back!

  • "My wife and I visited Shrewsbury in order to do some family research at the Archives Library and so the apartment - just a few minutes walk away - suited us well."

The apartment was, on the whole, superb - clean, stylish and comfortable. If I were to nitpick, we found the water pressure in the showers poor, there was no window in the main bedroom and the tv remote (an LG Magic remote) was difficult for us oldies to master. None of this takes away the fact that our overall experience was good.

The apartment is furnished to a high standard and the owners have gone out of their way to provide a selection of extras which ensure their guests are made to feel both welcome and spoilt. Thank you

  • "We are regular visitors to Shrewsbury and have stayed in many holiday apartments but this one comes top of the list for comfort and cleanliness."

All our needs were catered for in this beautiful apartment and as it’s all on the ground floor it was ideal for me as I am disabled and have difficulty walking. The car parking space is an added bonus and it is totally secure. Morrisons is a short drive away and we were able to shop there for all essential items. Easy access to the town centre too. Many thanks for allowing us to use 42 Albury Place, we shall be recommending it to all our friends and we’ll certainly be returning.

  • "Great apartment only 10 minutes walk to the town centre and 15 minutes to the theatre."

Although it is next to a few businesses and the railway line it was extremely quiet inside and we were never disturbed by noise (and this is usually our biggest problem!). This was our 5th booking with Sykes this year and the quality, cleanliness and facilities in the kitchen and bathrooms is the best we have seen - the owners really have thought of everything a holiday guest will need. It was our first visit to Shrewsbury and we had a great week. Due to the location of the apartment we never moved the car all week and managed to walk to every part of the town. Loads of great shops, bars, cafes and restaurants as well as the river and park. I am sure we will be back again in the future.
