"4 Aldelyme Court was great find, after living in the village for 13 years but relocating back to Cornwall we found the property excellent."
It gave us chance to catch up with family and friends, but also gave us our own independence of ‘living in a home away from home’ for the week. We will be back in contact with 4 Aldelyme Court in the future and after other holiday commitments. Thank you for a great stay. Derek and Pam Jones.

I rented this property for visiting family to stay in over Christmas which I have done before always very cosy with a personal touch
"Lovely property comfortable and well proportioned and in a very quiet position in the centre of the village."
Adequate amount of shops within walking distance including a great fish and chip shop and cafe. Superb ice cream in the post office, two pubs, one on the Canal and a Coop too. We'll placed to visit National trust properties in the area and also various gardens. Never got to meet the owners which was a shame. Very impressed with the cottage and area and if finances and personal circumstances allowed would buy a cottage in Audlem. We're lucky with the weather too!!
"It was a lovely home from home to be based from on our holiday."
We loved the welcome pack of sweet peas in the kitchen, milk for our cup of tea and flapjacks to go with it! We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and we settled in nicely for our visit. Thank you very much and we'd love to return one day.
"Our third visit to this property says it all."
Very comfortable 'home from home'. Excellent base to explore the local area and beyond.
"This is a delightful holiday cottage."
Very central to Audlem but so very quiet. So, you have all the convenience of shop, cafe, fish and chips, newsagent, pub just a short walk away. Everything you would need is in the cottage - home from home!
"Perfect place for us to stay with our 3 kids (7, 4 and 1) - clean, uncluttered with enough space and bathrooms!"
We wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend to others. The only improvement we would suggest would be to change the cot mattress for one that tightly fits the cot, so there's no gap between the cot and the mattress. It was fine for our 1 year old but parents of small babies would probably choose not to use the cot for this reason.
"Comfortable, warm and good location."
"Lovely owner, when we had a hiccup with boiler went out of her way to get it sorted."
(cold showers not good
"Our second stay at this cottage and it was as good as the first and we will book again"
"Our second stay at this cottage, this time for four weeks."
The cottage itself is in an ideal location with plenty of places to visit, all within easy drive. Nice pubs and places to eat also. Audlem itself is has all the ‘basics’ in easy walking distance as well as plenty of canal walks. The cottage is ain a gated courtyard, secure and quiet, a real ‘home from home.’ The owners ( mum and daughter) are very helpful and friendly . All in all, ideal. We highly recommend .
"This cottage really was a little home from home, ideally situated for easy travel around the area, which is peaceful and beautiful."
Would definitely stay here again.
"We were unable to stay as my wife was ill but our granddaughters and parents went at different times of the week with the owners' permission."
The owners were very helpful and made the stay very easy and enjoyable.
"Wonderfully cosy cottage, spotlessly clean and fully equipped, even as far as tea, coffee and a pint of milk!"
Thank you so much for providing such a comfortable place to stay :)
"Lovely property and very well equipped."
Would recommend highly.
"Lovely Cottage in an ideal location."
Owner very helpful. We stayed for 3 weeks and will be returning. Plenty of facilities within short walking distance.
"Very nice clean and comfortable property in a lovely setting."
Well placed for visiting the many attractions and places of interest.

A wonderful stay comfortable home, lots of good walks pubs and an excellent Indian takeaway We enjoyed it so much we have rebooked in September
"Wow what a fantastic little place to stay in a lovely little village with amenities and central location to travel to attractions."
We enjoyed some lovely evening canal walks allowing the kids to burn off some energy! The accommodation was lovely and clean with lovely garden and all the essentials. Would definitely recommend and we cannot wait for another stay.
"Well equipped and spotlessly clean cottage in pretty village."
Super stay and would return
"This was our second stay at Aldelyme Court."
The location is very convenient right in the middle of Audlem but with a gated entrance and private parking it feels quite secluded. Deceptively spacious. Kitchen is well equipped. A few nice touches included a box of homemade flapjacks and a pint of milk left by the owners, who provided contact numbers and were happy to be contacted if any issues. A note was left explaining some soft furnishings etc had been removed due to covid but still felt very comfortable. Thanks for a lovely stay
"The Cottage was perfect, warm comfortable everything you needed in a great location in the village centre, everything was on your doorstep, parking was excellent for both our cars very safe and secure in the gated carpark next to the Cottage our hosts Julia and Sarah was allways on hand."
We stayed in the cottage for 4 weeks, it was sad to leave, we would definitely stay here again.
"Lovely house - deceptively big."
Had all the amenities that we were looking for. Cosy and warm, including generous duvets. Great for a winter getaway.
"A very comfortable and well equipped property."
The location was ideal for both the town and local walks.
"Beautiful property in a lovely village."
Everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break. The bed and sofas were comfortable and the house was spotless. We will most definitely return.
"The property is exactly as described, ideal for a relaxing holiday, great local amenities, would highly recommend"
"The accommodation was all & more than “it said on the box”."
Easy to find with safe individual parking within a gated lot. A perfect location in the centre of everything. The village itself is delightful & residents obviously take much pride in keeping it that way. Would recommend without hesitation.
"There seemed to be limited hot water which became evident when we tried to have a bath which may have been due to the heating programme."
There was no instructions available apart from that we have no complaints.
"The cottage is clean, comfortable and really well situated with a co-op, good pubs and a couple of good takeaways all just a couple of minutes walk away."
The owners were very welcoming and have made the cottage into a lovely getaway. Audlem itself is a very nice village with lots of good walks all around. It’s so easy to get to other local spots and we can recommend the outdoor swimming pool in Nantwich (must book in advance) and Ironbridge for beautiful walks and scenery. We had a super week here and would come again. Thank you!
"This was our second stay at this holiday home."
As before, we enjoyed it very much, including the transport festival and other reopened places.

Great little house very comfy except the bunk bed very uncomfy not suitable for adult which was a shame as we had to use it, very clean and had all you needed in it, village lovely plenty of places to eat and lovely walk along the canal the village is situated close to lots of places you can drive too
"This is an excellent holiday home."
The fixtures, fittings, equipment and amenities are high quality. It is spotlessly clean. The decor is neutral including carpets and curtains so pop a pair of indoor slippers into your suitcase. The property is in the centre of the village with supermarket, pubs, restaurants, pretty walks and independent shops just a step away. It is in a gated community with on site parking and the full bloom flowers and plants are lovely. There is so much to do within a twenty five mile radius to suit all tastes. We had a fabulous holiday, learnt a lot and laughed a lot. You will not need a watch in this home as the church is fifty yards away (lovely view) and rings on the hour, half hour and sometimes quarter hour. Be aware that if adults in your party require separate bedrooms, the second bedroom is bunk beds. These are full size and can accommodate adults but have a fixed ladder which impedes movement and the beds cannot provide the level of orthopaedic support that some senior adults may need.
"We thoroughly enjoyed our brief family getaway in Audlem."
The village is very accessible from the cottage, the surroundings are beautiful and many other sights are not far away, including some Welsh castles. A walk along the canal is a must! The only thing I would improve is to provide an indoor clothes drying rack.
"Very comfortable, spotlessly clean house."
Ideal location for reaching all local amenities without using the car. Julia and Sarah very helpful. Would stay here again.
"Lovely cottage in a great village with an excellent pub and butchers nearby - less than 300 yds!"
Well kept and clean - a peaceful and quiet retreat of a place. And close to good walks along the canal.
Friendly considerate owner fully aware of conditions regarding current covid 19 outbreak. Village setting and local shops were helpful considerate and friendly to newcomers. Local pubs, food stores, chip shops catered for holiday industry and especially so during Covid 19 outbreak. Plenty of walks from the cottage with exceptional views. This cottage and village of Audlam exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend this property. We had a wonderful week in Audlam and weather was warm and sunny! The Shropshire Canal within walking distance and seating areas to enjoy the busy canal. Congratulations to the owners who have provided and idyllic property.
"The cottage was very central in village."
It was in immaculate condition and everything in cottage was of highest standard. Audlem is a very pretty village with pleasant walks along canal. Eating out is well catered for. Would definitely like to return if covid restrictions are ever lifted as in normal conditions the village appears to host a variety of interesting events throughout year
"This is a lovely holiday let with everything you could expect to need to enjoy a weeks holiday and I wouldn't hesitate to return and have already recommended it to other friends."
The owners are very fortunate to have such a lovely property.
"This property is fantastic."
The owner is very helpful and obliging. The property was clean and spacious and in an excellent location near to local shops and pubs. Would recommend this property and wouldn't hesitate to return.
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Audlem."
A very friendly welcome from Sarah and the whole village. The cottage is in the heart of the village with great pub across the road. The village is small but has everything you could want. I have some mobility problems and found the stairs difficult at times, but if you can manage stairs it's fine and canal walks not too steep. The owners do everything to make you feel comfortable. Wonderful. Thank you
"A wonderful house in a great location."
Owners are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. One of the best holiday lets we've ever had - beautifully furnished and equipped, and absolutely spotlessly clean. Audlem is a great place to stay, with lots of places to visit in the area. We really enjoyed our week.
"This was our second visit to this cottage and again we were given a friendly welcome by the owner."
The cottage was very clean and well equipped. Audlem is a lovely village with very friendly inhabitants.
"Lovely cottage, very clean with good sized rooms, comfortable furniture and great location."
The owners were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Audlem is a lovely village, would definitely stay here again.
"The cottage was lovely."
Everything to hand. Home away from home. Very well located. Grand Union Canal runs through village. While away the hours on a pleasant sunny day, watching people negotiate the locks whilst sitting outside a pub, refreshing drink in hand. What more could you ask for in a holiday to re-charge your batteries. The bells of the Church opposite the property chimed quarterly, half hourly and on the hour. We found it charming quintessentially English.
"Excellent cottage, well equipped, owners very helpful."
Would definitely recommend
"Lovely cottage & the location is superb."
Everything we were expecting from the cottage description was as it should be or better. I believe the criteria of "was it a good holiday" is "would you return". the answer is a very definite yes - very enjoyable & we do hope to go back - possibly this September.
"Near to everything, comfortable, bit too warm at times as its a mid terrace."
"Wonderful welcome by one of the owners, with a lovely touch of providing tea, coffee, milk and cake for our arrival."
The flowers were a nice touch too. There is everything you could want in the village, including picturesque walks along the canal. It was a very restful place to stay.
"This really did feel like home from home."
The cottage is really well equipped and furnished to a very high standard. The village is delightful and the owners friendly and attentive. It would be difficult to ask for more.
"Lovely house would return again, if the other bedroom had a double or 2 single ..."
Lovely house would return again, if the other bedroom had a double or 2 single beds our friends would have enjoyed it too, they said they couldn't sleep in bunk beds , but my husband and me loved it ,it was clean ,comfortable ,warm , and the village of Audlem was great ,had all the usual shops that are needed ,good bus service and a lovely canal running through the village
"We spent two lots of two weeks at the cottage and loved everything about it."
We really felt welcomed by the owner with milk in the fridge and homemade biscuits on our arrival. The cottage was equipped with quality furnishings and included everything you would need for a stay. The village is delightful with a supermarket, several pubs and the canal which flows through the town. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage as a “home away from home”.
"We arrived and was met by Sarah who showed us around our beautiful holiday home."
The house is decorated to a very high standard (inc beautiful Laura Ashley Towels) and the house was completely spotless. The view from the window overlooking the fabulous church is gorgeous and the church bells made me feel very relaxed. The property is in a gorgeous village which is accessible on foot. With some lovely restaurants near by. If possible you really should try afternoon tea at the cafe called Home Made and visit the local butcher. Thank you Sarah and Julia. Our holiday was amazing and we will be visiting again.
"Would highly recommend this holiday home, everything we needed & more."
Audlem is a beautiful village & a great base. The owner Julia was lovely & very informative, can’t praise it highly enough.
"Lovely village, very helpful host, excellent cottage"
"Very good cottage in a lovely village."
Cottage is of a very high standard, very well equipped. Very friendly owner. We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Lots to see and do around Audlem, but staying in the village and enjoying the Canal with the 15 locks and many boats is a pleasure too. Relaxing, quiet position of the cottage.
"Everything worked like clockwork with our booking and arrangements."
Very easy to communicate with the owner, who is most welcoming. Property itself has everything you might need (WiFi is particularly fast and reliable - thank you). Very close to the centre of Audlem, lovely place, with lots to do. Would thoroughly recommend this property. Excellent. Well done! Hope to see you soon...
"It was very nice to have free Wi."

The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful. The village was great and the people were very friendly. there was three good pubs in walking distance from the cottage.

This lovely cottage is located overlooking the village church in the heart of the delightful, award-winning village of Audlem, Cheshire.
This pretty, mid-terrace cottage offers the perfect base for a family holiday exploring the local area.
The cottage, designed by a local architect and set in a conservation area, has been styled with care and attention to create a peaceful retreat.
From private parking in the communal electronic gated courtyard, a short path leads to the front door, opening into a welcoming sitting room forming the hub of the home.
A modern fitted kitchen with a dining area creates a great area to socialise around a home-prepared meal, or perhaps just visit one of the local eateries in the village if you feel like an evening away from the stove.
Upstairs, there is a double sleigh bed in the master bedroom, supported by an en-suite shower room with rainfall shower, a bunk bedroom with beds suitable for adults and children alike, and a small cot room (or dressing room if preferred).
Outside this delightful cottage, the rear garden is fully enclosed, and offers a patio area where you can sit and enjoy the border shrubs, listen to the chimes of the church bells and relax in the peace and quiet of the location.
On the doorstep, you will discover all the amenities of the village, including coffee shops, delicatessens, a grocery store and three local gastro-pubs, two of which are located beside the Shropshire Union Canal, which runs through the village and leads to the nearby marina.
The village square and 13th century Church of St James are next door, and local activities regularly occur, including Proms in the Park, an ever-popular bonfire night and many boat festivals and carnivals throughout the year.
With so much going on in the area you will be spoilt for choice with what to do from day to day, and eager to return to create further great memories.
