  • "We found it to be a fantastic cosy little cottage in very peaceful surroundings."

Clean and well kept inside and outside with everything you need to hand inside. Private parking literally beside the property with a Type 2 charger. Private garden to rear with hot tub which we never used just down to the fact we were cosy inside. There's a very large garden to one side which is good for walking the dog if you don't want to venture further afield. We did venture out and found two pubs literally a 5 to 10 min walk, both great for food and beers. A nice touch was the lemon drizzle cake we found upon arrival but even better was the teapot with cosy we discovered tucked away. We never supped so much tea. I thoroughly recommend The Coach House.

Thankyou for the super feedback - so nice to hear that you had everything you needed! It was lovely to meet you both. Dom and Rebecca Property Owner

Being from the area, we came to see friends and, with our baby and dog, felt our own place for a long weekend was necessary and I’m thrilled we found this cottage. We met one of the owners and he was super helpful and very pleasant. The cottage itself is superb, cosy and well equipped. We had to take both our cars for logistics and there was ample space. Very happy

. We booked The Coach House over Christmas & Boxing Day and we made some very special memories as a family. The cottage is the perfect size for cosy vibes and relaxation. It had everything you could need and the owners couldn’t do enough for us. The surrounding area is stunning, beautiful countryside, homes & cosy pubs. Everything was spotless, the hot tub was amazing and super clean and the beds very comfy! We would LOVE to return again sometime. Thank you so much! Xxx

Clean as a whistle little cottage. Stayed here with my husband and two large dogs. One of my dogs is reactive so the enclosed garden is ideal and secure (rare find ). Five days of relaxation and everything you could possibly need in the cottage. I made a couple of roast dinners and a cake and had everything at hand like you would at home! Rebecca and Dom are within reach if anything is needed but totally respect your privacy. I honestly can not recommend this place enough. Lovely pubs very short walking distance and some amazing walks for the doggies

Thankyou very much for the wonderful feedback. Really pleased that both of you and the dogs could find some relaxation and felt comfortable with the facilities especially for your nervous dog. Hope to see you again. Dom & Rebecca. Property Owner

The area was lovely very picturesque. The Crown Inn was absolutely fabulous great food lovely people and it was only a few minutes walk away. The owners were very friendly not that we saw them much because we had no problems at all with the cottage but it was good to know they were close by. The only thing I could say that could improve the property would be some sort of canopy over the hot tub incase of rain and a step to get in and out of the hot tub. Would definitely come back again loved it.

Thanks very much for the lovely feedback Linda, glad you had an enjoyable stay in our cottage! We will definitely take on board the comments about the hot tub and see what we can do. Regards, Rebecca & Dom. Property Owner

Very accommodating for bringing the dog with us too with a perfect garden area. Well equipped kitchen and even a cake on arrival. Rebecca messaged me personally a few days before to ensure I had all the information I needed to find the property and make things as easy as possible. Was extremely helpful whenever questions asked and even was kind enough to give us recommendations for local pubs, the basket on the table with all local information was such a lovely touch too. Absolutely no compliments, beautiful hosts, stunning cottage and perfect location for a romantic & very relaxing weekend away, we are just gutted we didn't book for longer. We will be back x

  • "This is a good place for a short stay, we booked a week but left early."

Could do with a small chest of drawers/dresssing table as there is no where to put undies and bits and pieces and no where to comfortably dry hair etc. Glad there were only two of us as 4 must be a bit cramped the second bedroom is particularly short on space around the bed. Whilst on the subject of bedrooms, didn't appreciate the mattress protector having a plastic backing with the temperature being what it was it was so uncomfortable. There is no freezer just a small fridge with an ice box so if you've brought stuff for a weeks stay its totally inadequate. The microwave is in a cupboard and is very tricky to manage hot food out of cupboard and onto kitchen worktop - needs to be moved there is room on the worktop if the coffee machine is relocated. Could do with some covered microwave dishes as a pyrex bowl with a rather clumsy plate on top added to the problem. Outside furniture isn't very comfortable either. TV's okay if all you want to watch is catch-up and box sets. Finally able to get BBC news. I think the owners are new to this and I'm sure over time things will improve, I'm sorry we didn't get what we paid for. On a good note there are two lovely pubs in walking distance and the local people are lovely and friendly.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with certain elements of your stay. As reflected in our previous high scores/ratings, we pride ourselves on the overall standards of the cottage and endeavour to make sure our guests always have a pleasant and comfortable experience, so I’m sure we may have been able to address some of your concerns had they have been raised during your stay. We were also sorry to hear that the new Rattan sofa set in the garden was unfortunately not to your taste. Whilst we have been pleased to receive lots of lovely feedback about the cottage, we will of course always endeavour to take any constructive and fair feedback on board. Kind regards, Rebecca & Dominic. Property Owner

Great communication from owners who messaged in advance and put a travel cot in the spare room for our little one (even left a little towel out). • "We had a lovely stay, thanks so much!"

There were a few things that would have been useful to have at the cottage but it did not really affect our stay. I definitely think a wardrobe/chest of drawers and a dressing table would make use of the empty space in the main bedroom. Some coat hooks next to the front door would be useful. A shelf in the upstairs toilet, a poker for the fire, some wooden spoons for cooking, and an extra tray for the oven (I’m vegetarian but my husband isn’t so we had to cook separately). The skylight windows could do with blinds, we woke up early because of the light coming into the room. Same with the patio door, our dogs woke up early because of the light. These are honestly just little things that would have been helpful and that other guests might benefit from but all in all we had a lovely time and would stay again if ever in the area.

Thankyou very much for the feedback - we have taken your points onboard and actioned accordingly where possible. Glad you enjoyed your overall stay and we hope to see you again if you find yourselves in the area. Property Owner

The coach house itself is the perfect size for a couple, anymore than that I would feel claustrophobic, our only issue was the sofa, it was dreadfully uncomfortable and it was feathered so we were constantly stabbed by them, a new sofa would make the place so much more cosy, downstairs main bathroom is great and the shower really nice! The garden and hot tub were great but again let down but the furniture, it was old and needed a nice rattan sofa set out there to enjoy the view over the field at the back. The improvements are minor and can easily be fixed, the host was great and they have a beautiful estate and family and we would recommend anyone to go here!
