  • "We had a lovely stay at the cottage."

We had everything we needed, beautifully decorated, spotless and cosy. The smart TV is a bonus after a long day! It’s close (by car) to some great pubs for eating and there’s lots to do in the surrounding area. We would love to come back.

  • "We have stayed in the sister property Shep several times and Mirk is just as good."

Very well equipped kitchen (including foil, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets, fairy liquid etc things which are so often not provided), lovely comfy sofas and beds, good shower, wifi - in fact all the ingredients needed for a great stay. This is an excellent and stylish holiday cottage. The cottage was spotless throughout. The view of the moors from the bedroom is fab and seeing the lambs in the field across the road was a lovely bonus.

  • "Absolutely incredible property, we had the most wonderful stay."

Very clean and really well presented. The owners had thought about everything you could possibly need from salt to kitchen roll and even washing pods for your laundry. The views were spectacular with the added bonus of seeing the sheep and lambs from bed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming back. The only thing we were surprised by was that the property fronts onto a road which wasn’t clear in the listing. You could hear cars passing with the windows open but we soon got used to it. There is so much to do nearby, if you’re thinking of staying, we’d highly recommend. The owners were on hand via text and even let us know of events going on in the area.

The underfloor heating was very welcome in February and the woodburner was easy to light. Well equipped with no need to bring extras of anything. Ample parking was available and enjoyed the farm shop cafe just up the road..

  • "My stay in this beautiful cottage was excellent."

The location was stunning, the property was amazing. The owners were available anytime you had a question, but the great thing was they did not disturb you. They were contactable by phone and text, which gave you peace of mind and also the knowledge that they were there if you needed them. But they also did not disturb you, and left you in peace to enjoy your holiday. I cannot put into words, the beauty of the cottage, the commitment and dedication that was put in to ensure that you had every facility needed to enjoy your stay. The warmth, the character, the views and the facilities were just 100% perfect.

  • "A beautiful cottage in a stunning location."

The cottage was spotless on arrival and decorated to a very high standard, we were very impressed. We had everything we needed and were very well informed of everything before and during our stay. The shower was amazing, beds were comfy and good storage for all your belongings. The wood burner is a fantastic touch too. Very cosy and very homely when you get back from a days adventure. Hebden Bridge is a must as its a beautiful little town to walk round, lots of little cafes and bars and a lovely market, a playground for the children and a nice walk by the canal. We ate at the White House one evening and it was a fantastic meal so would highly recommend! Blackpool was only just over an hour away and Leeds was nice for shopping. We would highly recommend this cottage, the only thing I would say is, and it's just personal preference, is that we have 2 boys and they had to share a double bed and it's a shame that either 2 singles or a bunk bed weren't available. This certainly did not interfere but would have just been slightly better for us as a family and we were fully aware of this at the time of booking. We would love to go back to Mount Pleasant at some point and have certainly marked it as one of our favourites!! We have no doubt that this will be a five star property on trip advisor when word gets out!!

Spotlessly clean, fully kitted out with everything you could need, generous welcome pack, great location, comfy beds, beautiful views, friendly owners. Just a one mile walk to Craggies farm shop and cafe. Lots to do in the area and lots of lambs in the field right opposite when we stayed there. It is right on the road, so if road noise would put you off, please reconsider booking this house. It didn't bother us at all, but we were aware of it, and in summer with windows open, it could be an issue for some. Thank you for a perfect relaxing break.
